Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 66

Monique’s pupils darted around while her mind rapidly churned. She tried to figure out where it went wrong. She returned to the office right after she bought the coffee and did not wander around. Who would want to frame her!

Cindy Lee!

It had to be her!

After a moment, she said with realization, “It must be Cindy Lee!

“She doesn’t like me and probably thought I bought it for myself, so she decided to sabotage my drink. She didn’t know that I bought it for you,” Monique honestly explained her suspicions to Henry.

Monique’s cheeks puffed up in anger. She regretted clapping back at Cindy, which led to this misunderstanding. However, she felt that Cindy went too far.

She lifted her gaze to look at Henry. His face was dangerously close to hers; there was a strange glow in his cold, dark eyes. If he came any closer, their lips would touch.

He still wanted to punish her. There was no way she could get out of it!

Monique gave him a pleading expression with her almond-shaped eyes when she thought about Angel, who was right behind her. She forced a smile and attempted to ingratiate herself with him. “Please let me off the hook, just this time! I truly didn’t know!”

Henry was lost as he watched her, her cheeks were rosy with a small pointy nose between them. Her cherry lips quivered right in front of his eyes, unleashing her sweet, melodious voice.

Henry narrowed his eyes seeing her expression.

“Daddy, Mommy wouldn’t lie to you.” Angel ran over and tugged at Henry’s shirt. She looked up at him with her pretty face, fluttering eyes, and a pouting mouth. “Mommy said that lying is bad.”

Henry was instantly pulled back to reality. A jolt of electricity stung his heart, but he quickly regained his composure.

If Angel was not around, he would have had his way with her.

Monique watched Henry dash into the toilet with a stiff expression. When she thought about how she was almost punished by him, her chest felt stuffy with anger.

She told Angel that she would be going out and left with the cup of coffee.

Inside Mansion Coffee, Cindy was feeling a little restless. She spent a long time pondering. In the end, she blurted to her colleagues, “Did you guys know that Monique, who used to clean the toilets, is now someone’s mistress?”

Monique had just arrived at the entrance and heard what she said, which made her even angrier.

“Cindy Lee! Why did you put salt in my coffee!” Monique shouted and threw the coffee at her face.
