Monique probably arrived not long ago and she was likely to be in the emergency unit. The nurse was dazed for a moment and wanted to tell him that she could bring him to the front counter, but that handsome man had rushed to the emergency wards. The door was shut tight. Henry wanted to barge in, but he was stopped by the doctor who just came out.

“Who’s the patient’s family?” The doctor asked.

“I-I am…” Henry replied anxiously. He felt upset and his heart was breaking apart. He growled, “Let me in!”

The doctor looked at the man with reddened eyes, whose shoulders were shaking. Oh my, how could a man be so handsome and loyal at the same time. “Please wait out here, or you could interfere with our operation.”

‘It’s only a small operation and it would not risk the patient’s life.’ The doctor wanted to say this, but before the doctor could finish, he heard a piercing cold voice. “Use the best medicine you have, and make sure that she’s alive no matter what, or you’ll pay the price!”

His tone was tough; it had a kind of force that would not allow for any retort.

The patient’s family sat beside them. They wanted to get up, but when they saw the handsome man there and say that he was a family member, they thought there was another operation going on inside. The patient’s family was stunned and remained where they were.

The man in front of them was radiating a cold, murderous aura, and the doctor seemed to notice the eerie dark vibe behind him. The doctor had chills running down his spine and mumbled, “It’s just a simple leg surgery; it won’t risk her life.”

The family member looked at the fingers that were about to take over the surgical consent form, then gazed at the absolutely gorgeous man. Who was this man, and why was he being so nice to their mother? Could he be their mother’s illegitimate son?

Henry’s dark pupils slightly shrunk and his hand froze. He got the wrong person!!! It was not Monique’s operation. The icy look his face swept across the doctor and then he turned around to walk away. The doctor looked at him as he left. ‘Who am I? Where am I? Is God playing tricks on me today?’

The nurse from earlier wanted to have another conversation with that gorgeous man again, so she went to the front counter and checked if she could find the person that he was referring to. She went to the emergency unit and saw the tall figure. Afraid that he could not hear her, she shouted, “Sir! Sir, I’ve checked. There are no patients named Monique in this hospital.”
