Louise already hated the man for his arrogance when they first met.
Anger bubbled in Logan’s chest. He would have punched her if she was not a woman.
Louise did not bother to stay and argue with the man. He had learned his lesson and she left to look for Monique.
She went to the bar counter and saw that their orange juice was still there.
She flagged down a bartender and asked, “Hi, have you seen the woman who was sitting here minutes ago?”
The bartender shook his head.
Louise scanned the room from her position but saw no signs of Monique.
She cursed herself for being caught up in dancing. She should have kept an eye out for Monique.
Did the woman go to the washroom?
She reached for her phone in her pocket, intending to call Monique.
Suddenly, something cold dripped down her head. The chilly sensation traveled down her face and body.
Louise was furious.
What was this bad luck?
She turned around and was faced with a tall, handsome man with a devilish smile. A frustrated groan escaped her lips.
It was the same man who grabbed her butt!
Bad things come in threes—this man had troubled her three times in the same night and he was ready to explode.
She stared at the man who had her cornered. He was gorgeous but underneath the pretty exterior laid a rotten heart, and Monique was not here to save her. What should Louise do?
She tried to put on a brave face and asked, “W-What do you think you’re doing?”
Logan saw through her facade. He cocked an eye at her and said, “I see you’re finally scared. Apologize now.”
The proximity between them meant Louise could feel his warm breath as he spoke. She blushed, embarrassed but still angry.
“Why would I apologize? Let go of me!” Louise glared at him.
While her arms struggled to find purchase, she remembered her legs were still free.
Logan noticed the woman looking down and quickly moved his feet. It was not his first rodeo.
Louise’s foot stomped on the empty ground. She looked up and found the man smirking at her. His face seemed to say, ‘Let’s see what you’ll do next.’
