The woman beside Henry poured him another glass of wine. He raised his glass and took a sip.
There was a sly grin on Logan’s gorgeous face. “I heard that you hid a woman in your home. Is that true?”
Henry’s face darkened and rolled his eyes. “Shut up and drink.”
Logan obeyed, taking a glass and chugging.
Looking at how Henry downed glass after glass, Stella’s heart ached and a frown formed on her pretty face.
“Hen, don’t drink too much,” Stella said gently.
Then, she placed some snacks onto Henry’s plate.
However, Henry had no intentions of eating it.
She then took some snacks and reached out to Henry’s mouth.
Henry did not open his mouth and things got a little awkward for a moment. However, he thought that Stella would be a potential candidate as Angel’s stepmom if he needed one.
She was kind and polite, and their family was also very close. She was also well-educated which would be beneficial for Angel’s education.
Stella was rather persistent. “You don’t like this? I’ll take another one for you, Hen.” Then, she took another piece. “Try this. You need to eat something. It’s not good to drink with an empty stomach.”
Henry’s expression softened. Stella had always been very nice to him. He opened his mouth and ate it.
Logan watched his sister and the other woman beside him, feeding him and pouring him wine. He mocked, “You’re one lucky chap.”
Monique nodded. After Louise left, her eyes darkened. She knew that Louise was trying to cheer her up but she just could not do that right then.
Louise walked right onto the dance floor and started moving her body rhythmically. She waved at Monique. Monique returned a smile. Louise was pretty and had a beautiful hourglass figure accentuated by her outfit—she danced really well too! Her body moved flexibly, drawing the attention of a few guys who approached her shortly after she entered the dance floor.
Only after hearing Louise mention her boyfriend did Monique found out that Louise was hiding a broken heart under that strong outward appearance.
Louise might not reveal that to her if she did not see how down she was.
Louise danced and laughed at herself. It put a smile on Monique’s face when she saw how happy Louise was.
Monique turned around and sipped on the orange juice. When she turned back, Louise was nowhere to be seen.
