Henry’s facial features. as though being meticulously crafted, were all stiffened. It was like a layer of ice over them. His thin lips formed a straight line without him realizing it, as his entire body was giving off a very cold vibe.
He moved his lower limbs, inching closer to Monique with every step he took. The black shirt he was wearing made him appear like a demon from the gates of hell at a glance, with a malicious aura of that of a grim reaper around him.
The atmosphere was icy cold and extremely silent which gave the creep. Only the sound of Henry’s footstep that was closing into Monique was heard.
Monique curled herself, body trembling with every step Henry took—inching closer to her. She bit her lips forcefully, almost causing it to bleed, while her eyes glared coldly at Henry.
At that moment, Henry—whose eyes were as black as ink and had facial features which were unbelievably perfect, was no longer able to suppress the fire of fury that was swirling within him. Meantime, his heart throbbed with anxiety.
Nevertheless, he was able to conceal his anxious feeling well.
Henry's gaze matched up to Monique's as he glared at her. Again, with his expression as though he was beaming at a person whom he bore a deep grudge against.
Just as he was feeling like his heart was being stabbed with a knife, he stretched out his powerful hands and grabbed onto Monique’s chin. This made Monique’s pale little face appear even paler.
“What am I up to? Don’t you have the slightest clue at all?” A devilish sneer was curling on the corners of Henry’s lips.
Monique snorted and said with a cold voice, “I’m just here to repay my debts, how would I know what are you up to? Chairman Moore, are you planning to choke me to death this time...or f*ck me?”
Monique felt utterly heartbroken as she thought back at the statement Henry made, ‘You’re just here to repay your debts, since when do you have the authority to decide on anything?’
‘You’ve no right to be dead before I’m done having fun with you.’ She had no right to choose her death, let alone the right to leave his side.
Monique could care less about Henry grabbing on to her chin. She lifted her head slightly, intentionally, and burst into laughter, like a flower suddenly blossoming over a rock. To be more precise, it felt like she was teasing Henry.
Her glittering eyes stared right into Henry’s eyes. Her hands gripped tightly on the bedsheet, putting on a carefree expression despite being utterly heartbroken and terrified.
Henry intentionally emphasized the phrase, ‘I can have it anytime I want. During the times when I don’t want it, I won’t even touch it even if you beg me.’
‘Did he only take me as his playmate?’
“Hahaha…” Monique bursted into laughter and she went on laughing for some time, till the point where her tears were seen strolling down as well.
Monique extended her hands and wiped off the tears on the corner of her eyes, “Don’t make Angel an excuse for your cowardness for not being able to kill me, you nearly make me fall for it. At the end of the day, my body was all you wanted. Don’t you forget, without my body, you can’t fall asleep!’
Monique teased boldly yet every word that came out from her mouth was the truth.
It was the truth that Henry would go insomniac for the entire night before he met Monique. He was only able to get some rest by consuming medications.
However, whenever Monique was beside him, he would be able to sleep soundly.
