Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 43

“What are you doing?” Monique was so frustrated when he dragged her out as she was deep in her thoughts. She was particularly upset that his treatment towards Angel was so different from that of hers!

Her crystal clear eyes were opened wide and staring at Henry.

“Why are you working two jobs? Working in the cafe during the day and driving cab at night with the child following along. You are supposed to stay home and take care of your child at night.” He raised his sharp eyebrows and his dark eyes were filled with light.

Monique gave him a glance. Why did he care about her out of sudden.

“To earn money. How would you understand the world of normal people like us?” Monique pursed her lips, looking somewhat helpless. Everyone wished to spend more time with their children.

Was there only money in this woman’s eyes. She had been living such a tough life. Why did she not come to him?

“Who is the dad?” Henry squinted his black eyes and purposely asked.

“The dad is gone.” Monique was stunned. She dropped her eyes and coldly answered.

She too wished to know who the dad was. Yvonne drugged her. She did not know whose room she had run into.

Though she felt sad, she was full of hatred that the man took advantage of her.

However, who could she blame? Monique could only bear all the blame, due to the fact that she did not have good fate all her life. Her parents abandoned her, her grandfather left, her aunt and cousin disliked her and that they had to drug her, how hilarious this was! She might not be able to survive until now without Angel.

If she told this arrogant man that she did not know who the father was, he would end up mocking her. Her heart seemed to be hit hard as she thought of this.

“Gone? Give me the father’s photo. I will find him for you.” The man squinted his dark eyes.

He was standing right in front of her. This stupid woman. Had she forgotten him? She left first thing the next morning after that night. Did she leave without even taking a look at him!

Monique’s face twitched and nearly suffocated. Where could she find a photo of him?

“I have no photo of him, nor do I wish to look for him,” Monique harrumphed coldly, her eyes cold as ice.

When Monique saw someone coming in, she walked back to the sofa as if she was escaping. Her face was red and her hair was a little messy. Several employees who came in today all looked at her with almost the same emotion. However, this person’s look seemed more exaggerated.

Monique had truly not liked this feeling. She leaned on the sofa annoyingly, then squinted her eyes.

Shaun was even more certain now. He cautiously walked in with cold sweat on his back and carefully placed the documents on Henry’s desk. However Henry’s expression was really bad. Was it because he was dissatisfied with the position and that it could not satisfy his desire?

He wrinkled his brows. The coldness in his eyes was suffocatingly oppressive.

“Do you have any other instructions for me? I will get going otherwise.” Shaun forced himself to be calm. His hands had trembled long ago. He wanted to leave, yet he did not dare to.

Henry slightly nodded. Shaun immediately backed out. It was then that he felt relieved.

Henry lowered his head and worked on the documents. He had missed out on a lot of work as he took both of them out this morning. However, he was feeling upset that this woman had never thought of looking for him.
