Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 413

Louise invited the doctor into the office.

"Have a look at her. She's having a fever." Henry's deep voice was like a cello, so cold and attractive, but there was some warmth in his tone.

Henry got up and stared at Monique with a serious look.

Louise remained standing in the same spot, finally able to recognize Monique as the woman lying on the bed.

Louise knew Monique's relationship with the chairman, so she was not surprised to find her lying in his bed. Instead, she wondered why Monique was lying in bed so sick.

'I thought she was working in the planning department?'

Louise could sense the malice emanating from Henry's stunning look, which wore a calm expression. 'Is he worried about Monique?'

Tons of questions floated in Louise's mind.

It looked like Louise was summoned to take care of Monique.

Louise peeked at Mr. Moore and saw his gaze fully focused on Monique. Louise could feel the concern and love he had for Monique, despite his emotionless expression.

The doctor performed a detailed physical examination as she removed the blanket, only to find that Monique's body wore a big bruise as well as a bite mark.

Louise was dumbfounded. 'This is really a beast's doing.'

Given the chairman's towering silhouette, fit physique, and good stamina, Monique ending up with a few small bruises after sex was to be expected. However, such big bruises did not seem to be the result of intimacy, but violence…

Louise's mind blanked. 'Is the chairman a violent man?'

She stood frozen and stared at the chairman, realizing that there was an indescribable feeling swirling in his eyes when he looked at Monique.

'You can never judge a book by its cover.

She wrote the prescription note and explained the function of each medicine then reminded, "If the fever does not subside, immediately bring her to the hospital. However, if it does subside, then it shouldn't be any problem."

The physician packed her things and walked out of the office. Upon reaching the doorstep, she could not help but turn around and say, "Young man, you ought to control yourself."

The physician then left the scene.

Henry and Louise were the only ones left in the room.

Louise glared at Henry. "What exactly had happened?"

She tried to convince herself that it was not the chairman's doing. However, as of now, only the chairman had such an intimate relationship with Monique.

Henry frowned as he glanced at the injuries on Monique's body. In this mind, he felt very confused. 'She asked for it.'

"Take good care of her," was all Henry said.
