Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 40

Henry looked at Angel’s face looking like a ripened red apple and her slightly raised pink little mouth. She looked so cute that he wished to kiss her. However, he was worried about disturbing Angel, who seemed tired and about to fall asleep.

He had never coaxed a kid so he did not know what to do. He could only stiffen and not move at all, not wanting to disturb her.

Monique was stunned. It was supposed to be a lovely moment yet she felt uneasy.

The car arrived at the entrance of the office building.

As they were getting out of the car, Angel woke up when Henry was about to pick her up. Angel was a light sleeper, so Monique often played Bandari’s music in her car.

Henry naturally held Angel’s hand and walked towards the lobby.

‘Hey... You could easily cause misunderstanding by doing so.’ Monique thought to herself. However, she did not say it out loud because it would be of no use. It was impossible for Henry to listen to her.

Monique quickly stopped her car, both hands of bags filled luxury goods and trotted after them.

Sure enough, there were all kinds of strange looks along the way to the office. Monique did not dare to look up.

The office was filled with discussion in a strange atmosphere.

“Who is this woman? Who is the girl Chairman Moore is holding? This is too mysterious!”

“Could she be Chairman Moore’s illegitimate daughter?”

“This woman is so pretty, and the clothes she is wearing really suit her. Is she Chairman Moore’s girlfriend?”

Monique had tried her best to cover her own face with the bags she was carrying. However, when she arrived at the general manager’s office, some with sharp eyes had seen her. Furthermore, Chairman Moore was holding her daughter. The general manager’s office was really going to blow up.

What breaking news!

“There is no driving arrangement in the afternoon, can I bring Angel together with me to take up Stormchase’s orders?” Monique bit her lips as she walked over.

“No you can’t.” Henry’s deep dark eyes were fixed at the file seriously as he pursed his thin lips. He did not even raise his head to look at her.

His low and magnetic voice sounded cold yet calm. Those simple words were full of irrefutable domineerance.

Had this woman gone silly, would anyone drive a Maserati as a cab?

Monique looked at the handsome and cool looking face in front of her. His tall and strong build body felt cold. She was inexplicably flustered.

‘There was nothing to feel panic! I did not do anything wrong…’

As she thought of this, she raised her pretty face, straightened her back and said with courage, “You promised me yesterday.”
