Upon arriving at the Moore manor, Henry immediately made his way into the study. He wanted to draft the marriage agreement. After many rounds of revision, he was finally done with it.
He looked at the agreement and grinned like a satisfied cat.
The agreement was between two parties. Party A being Henry Moore and Party B being Monique Xander. The gist of the agreement was as below:
[Party B will serve Party A as a personal live-in maid, available at any hour of the day.
[Party B is not allowed to have eye contact with other men for more than ten seconds. Party B is not allowed to have skin contact with other men.
[The party who breaks the rule will agree to pay the other party $3,000,000,000.
[If either party breaks the rule, Party A will have custody of Angel Xander and the necessary compensation will be made to Party B. This clause is to ensure Angel Xander receives the best possible care.]
These were the major points in the agreement which Henry highlighted. The whole document was two pages long.
Once he was satisfied, he sent the document to Mandy and switched off his computer.
He left the study and went to find the first aid kit. He retrieved the topical medication and checked in on Monique. The woman was curled up into a ball on the bed.
Henry lifted a side of the covers and gently moved her leg. He applied the medication on the bruise.
The medication elicited a response from the sleeping woman. She pulled her leg back and got back into her curled position.
Henry leaned in and saw beads of sweat on her forehead. The woman was mumbling in her sleep.
He leaned down and heard the woman saying, “Don’t leave me, please.”
Henry looked into Monique’s family background.
She was abandoned as a child. Was she dreaming about her parents?
Knowing she went through a lot, Henry could not help but feel bad for the woman.
He lightly rubbed her shoulder and cooed softly into her ear, “Don’t be afraid, I’m here. I won’t abandon you.”
When did he get into bed?
Monique realized she was sleeping on his arm…
There was a twinkle of mischievousness in Henry’s eye. The pink lips stood out from his fair skin. He was an irresistibly handsome devil.
“You’re finally awake,” Henry said.
As he spoke, his warm breath tickled her skin.
Monique blushed as she said,“Yes.”
It felt great to wake up in the morning and to be wrapped in someone’s loving embrace. The world seemed brighter and less threatening.
Monique felt as if she was living out a scene in a love song as she stared at the gorgeous man in front of her.
