The corner of Henry’s eyes twitched. He could tell the Angel was anxious. It could be because of her insecurity as she did not have a father since young.
Henry suddenly felt sorry for both her and Monique. He held Angel in his arms. “Angel, I have made a pinky promise with you to protect you for the rest of your life. I will always be with you.”
Angel’s eyes shone. She stretched out her left hand and pointed her pinky finger, “Daddy, you have to make another pinky promise with me.”
“Sure.”
Henry stretched out his finger and entwined his finger with Angel’s. “Daddy, mommy and I are a family. Let‘s keep this promise for a hundred years,” Angel said lovingly.
They then stamped on each other’s thumb.
Angel smiled happily after they stamped. Both of her eyes were like crescents. Her pink face looked so adorable.
She opened the door, walked down and waved her hands to say goodbye to her father.
Henry was taken aback by Angel’s words.
Angel was his daughter. He would stay with her for a lifetime. As for that woman…
That woman asked him the night before if he would fall in love with her.
Henry snorted and laughed. How funny! How could he fall in love with this sort of woman.
He was just teasing her.
He took special care of her probably because Angel was her daughter.
It must be so.
Henry glanced at Angel’s back. She walked to the door of the kindergarten, greeted the teacher at the door, then walked in.
“Daddy sent me today,” Angel grinned sweetly. She stretched out her small hand and pointed towards the direction where Henry’s car was parked.
Her tone sounded proud. Not only was she proud that Henry was a handsome guy, but also the fact that she had a father.
Miss Sophia looked in the direction where Angel pointed toward. She saw a handsome man in a Maserati. He was extremely handsome, with an unbelievably handsome silhouette like a sculpture. The straight and tall nose bridge, the sharply curved lips and the confident eyes. She was stunned by his beauty.
Miss Sophia could not believe that this person was Angel’s father.
Henry waved at Angel as he saw her turning her head around and looked at him.
Angel too waved at him happily. Henry left after Angel entered the kindergarten, leaving Miss Sophia alone.
He was so damn handsome.
