Hannah huffed indignantly. Yvonne Xander was the rudest person she ever met. Why did she need access to the internal server? She was supposed to be working on the draft.

“Draft by end of the day!” Hannah reminded her.

“I know! Stop pestering me!” Yvonne said, without looking away from her computer screen.

Hannah left before the woman made her puke blood.

Yvonne spent a good amount of time browsing. However, she found nothing on Chairman Moore. Disappointed, she opened last year’s communication and copied the whole article verbatim.

Time passed swiftly and it was almost time to go home. Hannah was not at her desk so Yvonne decided to upload her work without waiting for the woman’s approval.

She powered down her computer and left the office.

In the planning department, Jacob Walt went to make coffee.

He placed the cup of coffee on Monique’s desk and said with a smile, “Monique, have a cup of coffee.”

Monique stood from her seat and said, “Thank you, Manager Walt. Is there anything I can do to help?”

Work was always her passion.

Assistant Manager Walt chuckled, “There is no rush. Why don’t you get used to the company’s environment first? Drink some coffee or tea, browse around…”

He wanted to say, ‘Do your makeup, take a walk, scroll your phone and the day will be over.’

“I’m willing to do simple tasks. Photocopy documents, sort through files, anything that allows me to learn,” she said with an expectant look.

Photocopy and document reconciliation?

How could he delegate such menial tasks to the chairman’s lover? Jacob would be punished if Chairman Moore found out.

However, if she was the chairman’s spy, not giving her any work would paint a bad image for the planning department.

The woman was a mystery. Jacob wanted to ask his manager for some advice on how to deal with this confusing situation.

“Miss Xander, sit and enjoy the coffee. I’ll go check on the work schedule and find you something to do,” Jacob said politely before taking his leave.

Monique nodded and smiled, “Thank you for your willingness, Manager Walt.”
