Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 284

Manager Harper said, “The arrangement was requested by the chairman. Treat her well.”

He did not reveal Monique as the chairman’s lover.

That was all Manager Hayley needed to know with regards to the new hire.

His help was limited to secret-keeping.

Manager Hayley wondered if this was an undercover assessment ordered by the chairman.

“What’s she going to do here?”

“She’ll work as an aide in the planning department. She’s a learner, this one. Make sure she gets support,” Manager Harper said approvingly.

Manager Hayley was curious about the woman who came recommended by the chairman and Manager Harper.

“Is she a relative of Chairman Moore?”

“I’ve already told you all you need to know. Don’t mistreat her. I have to get back to work, bye.”

The call ended.

The unknown haunted Manager Hayley. She spent a good half of the day wondering who the new hire was.

Charlotte brought Monique to her desk and handed her an employee induction form. “Fill this up. If there’s anything you’re not sure, feel free to ask me.”

“Thank you.” Monique gave the woman a smile.

She filled up the form with a giddy feeling in her heart.

Her first formal job…A wistful smile graced her face.

“Manager Hayley, this is the new hire who will serve as an aide in the planning department.” Charlotte handed over the employee induction form.

“Nice to meet you. My name is Monique Xander.”

Manager Hayley gave the woman a once-over. She was a sweet-looking girl with a fair complexion.

Manager Hayley was an independent woman who took pride in her work. She heard rumors of the chairman hiring a female driver but she ignored the mindless office chatter.

She detested women who slept their way through the corporate ladder.

A quick glance through the resume surprised her.

The woman did not have relevant employment history. Plus, she was only a high school graduate. Was Marriott International forsaking their standards?

This must be the worst resume the company ever received. Even their cleaners completed their tertiary education.
