Miss Christine gave them a tour of the entire school and explained everything in detail. Monique seemed to have liked it, the price had been affordable too. She had been pleased. After they walked out from the kindergarten, Monique looked at Little Angel and asked, “Angel, would it be okay for you to study here from now on?”
“Will Mommy come and pick me right after school?” Angel looked up and asked.
She had visited many kindergartens today and mommy told her that she needed to work. She told her a lot of things about kindergartens, and emphasized that she would have come and picked her right after school. She liked this place too, if she had to have chosen a kindergarten, then this would be the one that she would have liked to attend.
“Of course, you’ll come here in the morning, and I’ll pick you up right after school in the afternoon.” Monique nodded earnestly.
Angel had a serious thought, then she nodded, “Okay.”
When it had been dinner time, Monique and Angel were seated at the dining table to have their dinner.
“Angel, your full name is Angel Xander. Remember to use this name when you’re in kindergarten, okay?” Monique explained. When Miss Christine had asked for her name, she realized that she had always called her daughter by her first name and not her full name. Angel would not have been able to have gotten used to it since the school used the registered name written on the documents.
“Why? I don’t like Miss Christine calling me ‘Angel’.” Angel pouted.
Monique shook her head, “When you’re in kindergarten, you’ll have to use the name registered in the documents. Besides, Angel sounds fine.”
“Angel, the word comes from Greek, Angelos. It means messenger of God, an agent acting as a messenger and envoys between Heaven and Earth by God’s will.” Henry smiled and explained, “Angel is a nice name.”
“Really?” Angel had not quite understood what he meant, but her Daddy’s words sounded persuasive. Her face had been in awe, like it he had been saying, whoa, you’re amazing, and whatever you said must be right.
Monique had also been confused and wondered what he had been saying. The reason she gave her that name was simple, it was because she thought of Angel as her gift from Heaven, a dear angel to be cherished and loved. How did he even manage to have thought of a meaning to it?
Henry’s gaze moved to Monique. When he saw the confusion on her face, he walked over and sat beside her, “What do you think? Isn’t your boyfriend just amazing?”
