Monique passed Angel to her uncle. She walked over and smiled at Carl. “Uncle Carl, let me help you with these.”
“Ms. Xander, you’re being courteous. You don’t have to. These aren’t that heavy. Just let me know where you want to place them and I’ll bring them over to you.” Uncle Carl looked at Monique gratefully.
The woman in front of him had porcelain white skin. Her short hair as thick as seaweed neatly scattered on her face, and a sweet smile on her pure and sweet face looked exceptionally lovely.
She obviously had an unusual relationship with the Young Master yet she had no arrogance at all. He was very impressed.
As she was about to reach out her hand and take it over from him, Uncle Carl insisted on bringing these in on his own so she had no choice but to just guide him.
“Uncle Carl, just leave it here.” Monique guided Uncle Carl into the living room, pointed at somewhere close to the couch, and said.
There were some health supplements and well-known snacks, some of which were wrapped in exquisite packaging. Monique did not know what those were.
Uncle Carl placed them, then bowed respectfully to Monique. “Ms. Xander, if there’s nothing else you need from me, I’ll go back now.”
“Sure. Thank you, Uncle Carl. Well done,” Monique smiled.
He did not have to pay so much respect to her. She was not used to it since Uncle Carl was an elderly.
Siobhan followed along as she saw Yvonne exit hurriedly. “This kid. Why are you running in such a hurry?”
“Mom, how strange is this. This Carl just left, but I couldn’t find him when I tailed him out.” Yvonne frowned and tried to make sense of it.
“Why are you looking for that Carl? Though he seems like a rich man, he’s already an old man.” Siobhan looked disgusted.
She would not allow Yvonne to find an old man like him. Yvonne was young and beautiful. Several people came and proposed marriage to her, but Yvonne did not like any of them.
“Is Monique that old man’s sugar baby? Look at what he was wearing and the way he treated that bastard. The gifts he carried in his hands are all luxury goods, and some are even limited edition. For example, the snacks at the Food Hall needed to be ordered in advance. Ordinary people couldn’t even buy it. A man who wooed me last time had been trying to order from them for a very long time yet has not managed to book it even until now.” Yvonne looked toward the direction of the living room. There was apparent jealousy in her big black eyes.
