Chapter 10 Alluring 

Charlotte wore a simple shirt and shorts, her ponytail bouncing with every spin on the dance floor. 

Her bright, carefree smile lit up her face, and her eyes sparkled with excitement. 

She was lost in the music, completely free. 

The whole bar couldn’t help but watch her, captivated by her presence. 

Now, she was the center of attention, impossible to ignore. 

“Damn, who knew Charlotte had it in her?” Someone in the crowd muttered, totally blown away. 

But Arthur? He was losing his mind. 

Five years of marriage, and he’d never seen this side of her- this crazy hot, fearless version. 

And watching every single dude in the place eye–stalking her? That was driving him insane! 

Under the pulsing lights and thumping bass, Charlotte was in her world, just vibing. 

Then – their eyes met across the room, totally by accident. 

She blinked, raising an eyebrow in surprise. 

Her stomach turned. “So he’s here looking for his precious Sarah.”

Just an hour ago, he’d kissed her out of nowhere at home, and now he was here, chasing after another woman. 

A wave of bitterness hit her hard. 

He just couldn’t let Sarah go, yet he 

wouldn’t divorce her either. 

Screw it. She threw herself into the music, dancing harder, wilder. 

Her fingers unbuttoned her shirt one by one, revealing a white camisole that hugged every curve. 

As her shirt slipped off one shoulder, she looked nothing short of radiant. 

Then, a guy moved in, trying to get close and dance with her. 

Charlotte paused for a moment, then thought the five years wasted on a man who treated her like a backup. 

Screw that. She wasn’t anyone’s second choice. Tonight was all about her. 

She stepped toward the guy, embracing the thrill of freedom. 

Glancing up at the VIP section, she 

noticed Arthur was gone. 

Suddenly, the lights went out. 

“What the hell?” 

“Power’s out!” 

“Turn it back on!”

Chaos erupted. In the darkness, Charlotte felt a strong grip on her wrist. 

Before she could react, she was pulled off the dance floor. 

“Who the hell are you?” she shouted, but before she could say more, she was lifted into someone’s arms. 

One sniff of that familiar cologne, and she knew. 

It was Arthur. 

“What the hell is he doing here? Wasn’t he just with Sarah?” 

Her mind raced, but her body was already reacting. 

But she needed to play her part. Pretend

She struggled in his arms, kicking and twisting, even biting down on his shoulder.

Arthur’s grip tightened, his muscles tensing as if he were trying to squeeze the life out of her. 

But Charlotte didn’t stop. She bit down harder, even tasting the metallic tang of blood through his shirt. 

Without a word, he carried her out of the bar, throwing her into the car. 

“Help! Somebody help me!” Charlotte screamed, her voice full of panic. 

“Shut. Up.” Arthur’s voice was low and dangerous. 

Startled, Charlotte opened her eyes to see his face, feigning shock. “Oh, it’s you.” 

Arthur yanked at his collar in frustration, taking in her wary, unfamiliar expression. 

Damn. That shirt sliding off her shoulder, those legs tucked under – she looked wild, hot, untamed. 

Just minutes ago, she’d been dancing like this, driving every man in the place crazy 

with want. 

Then – bam. He pinned her hard against 

the leather seat.
