Where Petals of Vengeance Bloom novel Chapter 382

If the police found Ethan, at worst, he would take the fall for Mandy.

The thought nearly shattered Claire’s heart.

Suddenly, she coughed up a mouthful of blood, her vision dimming at the edges.

Mandy’s face went pale. “Claire, hang in there! I’m taking you to the hospital right now!”

Jeffry quickly scooped Claire into his arms. As their group rushed out of the bedroom, they realized that Garnett Brown and Sophia had already fled.

Only Scarlet and Vincent still lay collapsed on the floor.

Mandy’s eyes blazed with murderous fury. She snatched up a kitchen knife from the ground and advanced on the two.

“No—!” Claire screamed in terror.

But it was too late. The blade came down, severing Scarlet’s head in a single, brutal motion.

Claire’s body jolted, her eyes wide with shock.

“Mandy, why are you doing this?”

Mandy was drenched in blood, a twisted smile carved onto her face.

“If I’ve already killed one, what difference does another make?” she said, her voice eerily calm. “I might as well destroy everyone who ever hurt you. My life for all of theirs—that’s a fair trade.”

With that, she turned and strode over to Vincent.

Vincent wet himself in terror, shaking his head frantically. “No, please! I’m sorry! Don’t kill me! Claire, stop her—ah!”

His screams echoed as Mandy brought the knife down, severing his hand.

She didn’t stop. Again and again, she hacked at him, each blow more savage than the last.

By the time she was done, Vincent’s body was a mangled ruin. Everyone stood frozen in horror, trembling from head to toe.

Claire couldn’t take it—she fainted dead away.

Mandy walked over to Liam. “Give me the butterfly knife.”

A shadow crossed Mandy’s face.

“Claire will look after my mom. Let her do what I can’t.”

...

Claire was rushed into emergency surgery.

The operation dragged on for over a day and a night. When they finally wheeled her out, she was just beginning to wake up.

Her eyelids fluttered open, and she caught a blurry glimpse of the doctor leaning over her.

He was quietly explaining her condition to the others. As Claire took in his words, tears slid down her cheeks.

Mandy had risked everything for her, seeking vengeance at any cost. And now, her own body was failing her.

“The patient is extremely weak,” the doctor said, his voice heavy with resignation. “Although her kidney transplant was initially successful, the trauma she’s suffered has caused severe complications. Her organs are shutting down rapidly. We’ve done all we can. From here on, it’s up to her—her family should prepare themselves for the worst.”
