Kavon couldn’t sit still for another second.

He grabbed his keys and stormed out, dialing as he drove straight to the prison..

On the line was the head of security for the Richardson family, one of their most trusted men.

“Any issues at the base?”

None. Why?”

Tell everyone to stay alert. Also, go to my office right now and check for any cameras

“Understood sir. 171 take care of it immediately.”

“One more thing: Get everything ready for a full evacuation. Wait for my call for further instructions.”

With that. Kason hung up

first. he had te contum whether Shane was behind this

If not then things were much worse than he thought,

When he reached the prison, he found out Shane was no longer there.

He had already completed the transition process and stopped coming altogether.

hason’s expression darkened as he sought out the deputy warden

“Mr. Kason looking for another prisoner?”

The deputy warden frowned

“Aren’t you coming hiere a little too often lately!”

The Richardson family had always dealt with the deputy warden instead of Shane

Lespite being the official warden. Shane rarely handled anything himself.

“Do you know where Shane lives? Kason asked.

“I think he’s in Windmallville“.

The depury warden besitated before answering

“Someone paid for her to be tortured. If I had to guess, it was that fake heiress.”

The Xander family’s scandal had been huge, so he had heard bits and pieces

Denise

Sason hadn’t expected her to be so muchless.

But what shocked him even more was the fact that Sierra and Shane had some kind of connection

Saune had saved her–more than once

Sierra, Shann

Something wasn’t adding up.

He felt like he was missing a crucial piece of the purple

Just then, his phone rang

“Mr. Kason, the security chief reported

He arrived just in time to see Shane walking out of his house with a suitcase

Shane barely glanced at him.

Kason swallowed his irritation and asked. “Did you send those photos?

Shane smirked.

The way he looked at Kason made it clear–he thought he was an idiot

But he didn’t answer the question.

Instead, he said. If I were you. I wouldn’t be wasting time figuring out where the photos came from.”

T’d be figuring out how to get out of this mess.

So it was you.” Kason’s eyes turned cold.

If I go down don’t think you’ll get away either.”

Shane’s only response was a mocking laugh.

I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“You seem a little paranoid. Maybe you should see a doctor. I know a few good ones–I’d be happy to refer you.”

Kason’s breath hitched.

For the first time, he felt afraid.

Shane was smiling.

His tone was casual, even friendly,

But Kason could feel it–that unmistakable chill crawling up his spine.

He instinctively took a step back

Shane chuckled.

“Well if that’s all I’ll be going now”

He took a few steps, then suddenly stopped

Oh, right
