Chapter 339 She Must Die
Terrence said, "Yes. It's me."
He sat by Alexa's bedside as usual. He couldn't help holding her hand, but she immediately dodged.
Terrence was a little flustered and did not know what was going on.
"Yareli told me that you went to bed very early today. Are you feeling unwell?"
"No."
Alexa sounded gloomy and even a little annoyed.
Terrence was more confused.
"So..." He said gently, "Did someone make you angry?"
"No."
Although Alexa was denying it, she raised her voice.
Terrence immediately understood.
"My kitten is about to explode." He chuckled. "Who angered you? I'll go and teach the person a lesson!"
Hearing this, Alexa could not stand it anymore and sat up.
She took the gift box on the bedside table and stuffed it into Terrence's hand.
"See what's in it."
"Huh?" said Terrence.
He opened it to take a look.
Before he could speak, Alexa began to complain.
"This dress is not my size. It's not prepared for me. Right?"
"You are very smart." Terrence smiled calmly and even nodded. "This dress is indeed not prepared for you."
Alexa thought, I knew it!
Alexa gritted her teeth, and her face darkened.
"I think that woman must be very beautiful. Otherwise, Mr. Ramsey won't be interested in her!"
When Alexa was angry, her voice was a little cold. And she showed her pride as Terrence's wedded wife.
It gave Terrence an itch. And he was delighted to hear that.
He didn't expect himself to enjoy listening to Alexa's scolding.
"Why aren't you saying anything?" Alexa blinked her eyes. "Are you feeling guilty? Looks like I was right."
"I'm thinking about how to deal with an angry kitten," said Terrence.
Then he directly held Alexa's hand.
"What beautiful woman?" He said word by word slowly, "Who is more beautiful than you? I know no beauty but you."
"You know her." Alexa asked, "Do you want me to say her name?"
Seeing that Alexa was getting angrier, Terrence could only explain.
"Edwin asked me to prepare this dress, but Aron misunderstood and sent it to our house."
"Edwin?"
"Fortunately, a new gift was delivered in time. There should be no problem."
Alexa was stunned and suddenly realized that she was wrong.
Sensing the ridicule in Terrence's eyes, she felt that she had misunderstood.
"I didn't attend the banquet tonight. Edwin did."
"But that invitation..."
"Ms. Gillund asked me to give it to Edwin," Terrence said patiently. "If you
don't believe me, you can call her now."
"So, Ms. Gillund and Edwin..."
Alexa's face was full of shock, but she didn't continue speaking.
Seeing her expression, Terrence understood what she meant. He nodded.
"When they were studying abroad, they were classmates. They've known each other for a long time."
"So, is Edwin her boyfriend now?"
"Why are you so concerned about them?" Terrence smiled and pinched
Alexa's face. "Edwin is very good at keeping secrets. He didn't even tell me."
"Because you always put on a cold face and look very serious."
"Do I?"
"Yes." Alexa nodded seriously. "However, you won't do that in front of me."
"Then it doesn't matter."
Terrence finally made things clear. He breathed a sigh of relief.
In the silent room, they suddenly heard a rumbling.
"Seems that I'm lucky today. I finally caught you in the act."
Finley said, "I don't understand what you're talking about."
"You are the one who has been sending messages to Terrence. Right?" Irvin
remained calm as he stated the facts. "It's you who let her escape from the
medical center that night."
Finley did not respond.
"Dr. McMillan, my sister and I set up a simple trap. But we didn't expect that
you would really jump in."
Finley said, "You have no right to ask about the medical center."
"Sorry. Mr. Duran has commanded me to find the traitor in the Duran family."
"You?"
Finley squeezed out this word, his tone cold and aloof.
"According to the investigation, Alexa once studied medicine, and her
mentor is you, Finley."
The secret that had been sealed for many years was suddenly revealed by
an outsider. Finley's eyes were suddenly filled with a bone-chilling coldness.
"How many things have you hidden? We can have a good chat later."
Irvin smirked.
He commanded, "Take him away."
The bodyguards he brought were all well-trained special forces soldiers.
Finley was alone and had no ability to resist.
"Irvin, what are you trying to do?"
"You don't have many good days left." Irvin approached him. "I can tell you.
Alexa won't be able to see your new medicine. She has to die."
"Irvin..."
Before Finley finished, he groaned in pain.
Irvin punched him in the abdomen with a playful look on his face.
"However, you will soon see her."
