Cordelia finished speaking. Imogen even wanted to applaud.
It was the first time she had heard that someone refused others in such a subtle and decent way.
"Well, it is fate that we can meet the right partner. Let us cherish our fate."
While speaking, Imogen raised a glass of water in front of her and clinked her glass against theirs.
The atmosphere during the dinner was harmonious.
After dinner, Cordelia said goodbye to Adam and Eason. Then, she returned to her house with Imogen.
"Wow, Cordelia! You live in such a big house alone! Aren't you afraid? Do you need a roommate?" Imogen grinned and asked excitedly.
With a serious look, Cordelia said, "Imogen, I advise you not to let down your guard. When Adam returns to Grant City, you'd better return as soon as possible. Here is Elijah's place."
Imogen shrank her neck and said aggrievedly, "Okay, I see. You are so serious."
Cordelia rolled her eyes at her, ignored her, and was about to go upstairs.
Imogen's morning sickness had eased recently, and she could no longer stay in Grant City.
Cordelia couldn't spoil Imogen. After all, it would be unknown what might happen in the future.
But no matter what happened, it would not be a good result.
After experiencing so many things, Cordelia grew increasingly helpless. Her strength was still too weak, especially when she wanted to protect those she cared about.
After changing into home clothes, Cordelia was about to go to the bathroom to shower when she heard Imogen's screams downstairs.
She hurriedly went downstairs. "What's wrong?"
"Ben is outside." Imogen pointed to the door.
Cordelia frowned. "He is omnipotent. How did he find this place?"
Imogen was nervous. She took a pillow, hugged it, and ran upstairs. "Cordelia, I'll leave you to deal with the bastard outside. I'll hide in a room."
Cordelia said helplessly, "You are so timid. Where do you want to go with your cowardice? Go back to Grant City as soon as possible!"
Cordelia couldn't help laughing suddenly.
At that moment, she seemed to suddenly not hate Ben so much.
Ben looked indifferent and mature, but in fact, he was just a childish guy with a sharp tongue.
Elijah also had this annoying stage. He didn't talk to Cordelia but always said sarcastic or unpleasant words.
Cordelia smiled faintly, reluctantly giving Ben a faint smile.
Ben saw her smile, and his expression relaxed a little.
But the next second, he heard her cold words.
"Thank you for passing on the message, but don't pass it on next time."
Ben froze instantly.
