"That's right! If you keep silent and ignore Elijah, you will make the villains happy and let them fulfill their wishes!" Imogen encouraged her.
"I know."
Cordelia was hurrying to go out without makeup, and her face looked haggard.
If it were daytime, she would not let herself look so embarrassed.
And she didn't think too much since the darkness of the night would cover something.
However, when she came to the hospital, at the door of Elijah's ward, two bodyguards stopped her and said they had to report her visit to Elijah.
Cordelia was not in a hurry and waited patiently for a while.
But when the bodyguard came out again, he told Cordelia, "Mr. Hansen said he doesn't want to see you. Please go back!"
Cordelia frowned. "Did you tell him my name?"
"I told Mr. Hansen, and he said he wouldn't see you!" The bodyguard said articulately.
In an instant, Cordelia's heart sank to the bottom.
What was the matter?
She stood at the door for a long time until the ward door was opened again.
Edith came out with a cold face.
"Why don't you leave?"
"Mrs. Edith Hansen, how is Elijah?" Cordelia asked anxiously.
"Thanks to you, he didn't kill himself. Cordelia, I didn't expect you to be such a woman! I misread you!" Edith snorted coldly.
"I came here just to explain to Elijah," Cordelia said with downcast eyes.
Unfortunately, he refused to see her.
"Okay, then explain to me, and I'll tell Elijah. Whether he believes you or not is none of my business," Edith said, pulling Cordelia to the quiet stairwell.
"Why is there a surveillance camera installed in your living room?" Edith asked slowly.
"I lived in the Maple Villa alone. To ensure my security, I installed surveillance cameras in the living room and many other places."
Cordelia didn't expect that it would help her so soon.
Edith nodded. "Okay, you send me the surveillance footage, and I'll try my best to persuade Elijah to watch it."
Cordelia shook her head. "Mrs. Edith Hansen, don't push him if he doesn't want to watch it. I don't want to bother you."
"Are you giving up now?" Edith raised her eyebrows, somewhat puzzled by Cordelia.
Cordelia smiled lightly. "It's not about giving up."
If she gave up now, she was conceding that she was defeated by Gideon.
This time, she would hold on and be with Elijah tightly to crush that domineering old man's wicked wishes.
