Mavis sighed. "Let's hope so."
Meanwhile, Lionel had just finished an important meeting when he received news of Callum's disappearance. He immediately assigned his team to search for Callum.
All hospital surveillance footage had been reviewed, revealing no suspicious figures who might have taken Callum. Moreover, there had also been no ransom calls.
Hence, Lionel focused on the possibility that Callum had wandered off on his own.
Within ten minutes, Callum's disappearance was announced on Svelton's mall screens, taxi signs, televisions, and car radios. Along with the little boy's photos, a minimum reward of 150 thousand dollars, with no upper limit, was also offered for any information leading to Callum's safe return.
However, the National Investigation Bureau warned that false leads would result in legal action.
Passersby reacted to the news.
"Could this be some new scam?"
"Look closely, the kid's last name is Nicholls! In all of Froania, who else but the Nicholls family could afford such a reward? It's pocket change for them."
"Wow, Nathaniel's son is missing? Let's find him and get rich! I'm quitting my job if we do!"
"Hello, I need a day off… What? The whole company is looking for Nathaniel's son today?"
Meanwhile, the little boy everyone was searching for was engaged in a battle of wits with Tiffany.
In a hotel suite, Callum was tied tightly to a chair, his small hands showing red marks from struggling against the ropes. Tiffany sat on the bed across from him, occupied with her phone, seemingly handling some business.
"Ms. Sullivan, I'm hungry…" Callum whimpered, tilting his head and blinking his bright blue eyes innocently.
He looked pale and dehydrated, but he showed no signs of fear.
Tiffany raised an eyebrow and smirked, saying, "I remember you calling me many things before—'old woman', 'bad lady'. This respectful tone is new. Did a little discipline improve your manners?"
