Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 2199

Nathaniel realized he had misjudged. The little rascal's strong sense of revenge clearly came from Mavis.

There was only a tiny bit of sympathy, overshadowed by the satisfaction of seeing him in pain.

Annoyed, Nathaniel decided he should not suffer alone. He quickly pinched Callum's chubby cheek.

"Ouch! Daddy, just because you're embarrassed, you want to hurt me?" Callum cried out dramatically, sticking his tongue out at Nathaniel, looking quite pleased with himself.

Nathaniel's expression darkened further, and the little boy instantly covered his cheeks and ran across the bed, trying to escape his father's grasp.

Nonetheless, his little legs were no match for Nathaniel's strength.

Nathaniel grabbed Callum by the back of his shirt with one swift move, lifting him effortlessly and placing him face down across his lap.

Callum panicked, realizing he might be in for a spanking.

He struggled and wailed, "Mommy, save me! Daddy's so mean! Daddy's… Daddy's going too far! Ah! This is the end of me!"

The room was filled with Callum's exaggerated squeals.

When Mavis returned from grocery shopping, she found the little boy sitting quietly on the bed, wiping away his tears.

In contrast, Nathaniel was unusually calm as he leaned against the headboard and went through Callum's math workbook.

Mavis was baffled, wondering what could have happened in the short time she was away.

She went to comfort Callum, who immediately jumped into her arms, whimpering and pointing at Nathaniel, ready to tattle.

"Mommy, just now, Daddy… he…"

Nathaniel casually looked up, and that single glance was enough to stop Callum's complaint.

The father-son duo locked eyes, and the little boy quickly backed down, snuggling into Mavis for comfort.

No matter how she tried, she could not get Callum to explain what happened. Even so, she sensed something was off from the looks they exchanged.

Mavis frowned, impressed by his acting skills and how convincing he sounded.

"I'll help you to the bathroom, but you can sit on the toilet to wash yourself."

The idea of taking a shower on the toilet was not appealing at all.

"Your leg is injured, not your arms. Why can't you do it yourself?"

"With my leg like this, I'll need to hold onto the wall. I won't have a free hand," Nathaniel argued, his gaze turning meaningful as he added with a hint of a smile, "We're practically an old married couple. Are you still shy?"

Mavis was taken aback by his audacity.

What kind of couple on the brink of divorce still helped each other bathe?

Besides, they had only slept twice in their few years together. Both times were in complete darkness, and she did not even know what Nathaniel's body looked like.
