Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 2196

Mavis replied without hesitation, "Of course not. With me here, your leg won't stay injured. You'll definitely recover."

She picked up the thin rod and swished it through the air several times.

The sharp whistling sound was intimidating.

Callum bit his pillow, watching nervously, seeming more scared than the actual patient.

Mavis continued, "This remedy is supposed to be very effective. If you don't object, I'll begin."

Without allowing Nathaniel to refuse, she swiftly brought the rod down on his calf.

A deep red mark slowly appeared on his already reddened skin.

Callum's shoulders flinched at the sound, but Nathaniel remained expressionless. His knee did not even jerk this time, and he sat still.

Mavis knew how much force she had used, and the pain would be unbearable. Yet, this stubborn man managed to keep a straight face.

His self-control was impressive.

She asked, "Can you feel anything now?"

Nathaniel steeled himself and shook his head.

The rod traced a graceful arc through the air, landing five consecutive blows on Nathaniel's calf.

"Ah! It hurts," Callum wailed, clutching his pillow as if he were the one being hit.

Nathaniel managed to draw in a sharp breath, his long eyelashes trembling slightly.

This was the most reaction he could muster under his iron-clad self-control.

Despite his best efforts not to assume the worst, he sensed that Mavis' actions were deliberate.

"Where did you hear about this remedy? Are you sure you weren't tricked?"

Mavis nodded firmly. "It's not a trick. Your leg has had poor circulation for so long, which can cause numbness. This method promotes blood flow."

She was making it up as she went along.

Mavis grabbed his ankle, seizing the opportunity to say, "See? My remedy works. I told you your leg wouldn't stay lame. It will definitely heal."

She looked down to examine Nathaniel's leg.

His left calf was covered in crisscrossing purple-red welts, and the entire lower leg was swollen, looking almost twice the size of his right leg.

She frowned at the sight and commented, "Now that you've regained sensation, let's move on to the next treatment method."

Putting down the thin rod, Mavis picked up the hammer, using its thicker handle to press it firmly into the sole of Nathaniel's foot.

This was akin to a deep tissue massage technique.

She needed to include some legitimate methods to make it all seem more authentic. Nevertheless, she knew that even foot sole massages could be quite painful depending on the pressure applied.

Since Nathaniel was so committed to faking his illness, she decided to let him play it out to the fullest.

She wondered how long he could endure the pain.
