Despite being in a wheelchair, Nathaniel easily overpowered Dylan. He effortlessly caught Dylan's swinging fist, stopping it with just one hand.
Nathaniel's blue eyes flashed with anger as his grip tightened, causing Dylan to wail in pain.
"Ouch! My hand! You're going to break it!"
Mavis was startled and rushed to intervene.
"Stop it, Nathaniel! Let him go."
Nathaniel's expression grew colder. "Didn't you see he attacked me first? I'm just defending myself."
Knowing he was right, Mavis just said, "He's young and rash. I'll apologize on his behalf. Unlike you, he's not trained. You'll hurt him if you keep this up. Please, let him go."
Nathaniel narrowed his eyes, and instead of releasing Dylan, he applied more pressure.
Dylan's face turned pale with pain as he collapsed against Nathaniel's wheelchair, still struggling and howling.
"Ah! Help me!"
"Nathaniel!" Mavis tried to help, but Nathaniel's grip was too firm.
Troy stood silently in the nearby stairwell, watching the scene unfold.
Mavis turned to him for help, pleading, "Troy, please, do something!"
"I'm sorry, Mrs. Nicholls, but my duty is to protect Mr. Nicholls," Troy replied, not moving an inch to stop Nathaniel.
Nathaniel smirked and mocked, "What a weak idiot. He seems quite young. Is he your sugar baby?"
As he spoke, his eyes suddenly turned fierce.
He grabbed Dylan's arm and twisted it sharply.
"Ah—" Dylan's scream was ear-piercing.
He nearly passed out from the pain, his whole body shaking uncontrollably.
Nathaniel released him with disgust and growled, "A broken arm should teach a disrespectful brat like you some manners."
Troy suddenly remembered that when Nathaniel had sent him to Harbor City to get Mavis' belongings for their marriage registration, he had also discovered that Mavis had a younger brother.
However, this man did not look like him at all.
Troy recalled Mavis' brother having a sallow complexion and was plain-looking.
How could he have changed so much over the years?
Frustrated by the mess he made, Troy rushed forward to help.
"Mrs. Nicholls, let me handle this. The stairs will be difficult for the paramedics. I'll carry him down!"
Mavis followed immediately, completely ignoring Nathaniel.
Ten minutes later, an ambulance siren filled the air before quickly fading into the distance.
When Troy returned to Ascend Apartment, he found Nathaniel still sitting in his wheelchair by the door, rubbing his temple, his brow furrowed and his expression gloomy.
