Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 2170

Mavis relented and took the keys.

She immediately walked out the door, eager to escape the suffocating atmosphere.

Every extra second she spent in that room made her more uncomfortable.

Troy was waiting outside the ward, and he flashed a bright smile.

"Mrs. Nicholls, hand me the keys. I'll be your driver today."

His attitude was overly polite, but Mavis was not in the mood for chit-chat.

Since the car was a two-seater, Mavis had no choice but to sit in the passenger seat.

Troy hurried over to open the door for her, saying, "After you, Mrs. Nicholls."

Mavis muttered a quick thanks and slid into the seat.

The luxury car quickly pulled out of the hospital parking lot.

On the road, Troy could not help but marvel, "Mrs. Nicholls, thanks to you, I finally get to drive this car."

Mavis glanced at him curiously. "Nathaniel doesn't usually drive this car?"

Troy chuckled. "He used to, especially when you were around. But after you left for those five years, he hardly touched it. He only started driving it again recently when you came back."

The more Mavis listened, the more puzzled she became.

Nathaniel drove whatever car he wanted. It had nothing to do with her.

Why was Troy making it sound like it was all because of her?

Troy sighed and added, "For most married men, the passenger seat is reserved for their wives. After everyone thought you were gone, he never drove this car again. He stuck to the backseat of his business cars."

Mavis did not buy it.

With Nathaniel's reputation for being a playboy, there was no way no other woman had ever sat in his car's passenger seat.

Though she found it ridiculous, she could not help but ask, "What about Tiffany? She's never been in this car?"

Troy laughed. "Ms. Sullivan hasn't even touched the door handle of this car, let alone sat in it. Her feelings for Mr. Nicholls are one-sided. He finds her exhausting."

So, Tiffany's feelings were not mutual.

"It doesn't matter if I'm dead or alive. You can just continue treating me as a dead person."

Troy was left speechless by her bluntness.

He thought about it and said, "Mr. Nicholls locked himself in your ward for days, refusing to eat or drink. Later, Madam Nicholls came and took him back to Froania, but he was a wreck. He didn't care about the company, the family, or even Mr. Callum—he just drank every day until he blacked out…"

Mavis stayed quiet, just listening.

"...Madam Nicholls eventually forced him to pull himself together by giving him no choice but to raise Mr. Callum on his own. She said she couldn't stand the baby crying anymore, so she handed Mr. Callum over to him. Mr. Nicholls practically raised Mr. Callum single-handedly—feeding him, changing diapers, and even taking him to work."

"When Mr. Callum got sick, Mr. Nicholls stayed up all night, watching over him. He took on the role of both parental figures. Although he's strict about Callum's education because he wants him to succeed, he's always taken care of him with love and care. You've been abroad and haven't been there for Callum, so you're probably unaware that the first two years are the hardest."

Mavis remained silent for a long while.

She had always known Nathaniel took care of Callum by himself, but Sheena had never shared so many details.

Maybe because she knew Mavis did not want to hear them.

Mavis turned to Troy, her eyes narrowing suspiciously.

"You're not the talkative type. Why are you suddenly listing all of Nathaniel's virtues? Did someone tell you to say all this to me?"
