Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 2159

In the dead of the night.

Lionel, for once, spoke with some genuine advice.

"You better think this through before making any final decisions. It's easy to coax an angry wife, but a divorced ex-wife? Good luck getting her back. Elliot knows that all too well. You don't want to find yourself in his shoes, do you?"

Nathaniel remained silent.

"I heard when you thought Mavis had passed, you completely fell apart. Are you really ready to go through that regret again—the kind you can't fix, no matter how hard you try?"

That hit a nerve.

Nathaniel reluctantly asked, "How do I win her back?"

Lionel raised an eyebrow, looking at him mischievously.

"You need help winning back your own wife? Alright. Bark three times, and I'll teach you."

Nathaniel finished his tea in one gulp, grumbling, "Forget it."

Lionel burst out laughing. "Alright, alright. I've got you covered. The trick is simple: act pitiful, make a scene, and stop caring about your pride. That'll do it."

Nathaniel's face darkened. "That ridiculous tactic of Elliot's isn't my style."

Lionel scowled. "Hey, as long as it works, it's a good tactic! You can bad-mouth Elliot all you want, but at least he got the job done. What about you? Anyway, you've been here way too long. Go home!"

Nathaniel set the cup down and left.

Nathaniel had been notably absent from Mavis's life for several days, and she could not have been happier about it.

She took Callum to kindergarten herself every morning, and she eagerly picked him up every evening.

They ate together, spent their evenings together, and slept peacefully under the same roof.

For Mavis, these moments were pure bliss.

Sadly, as with all good things, that peace did not last long.

On the fourth day, Mavis found herself once again in the eye of a media storm.

Pictures of her and Evan at the seafood market were snapped secretly and posted online, with accusations flying that Evan was her lover.

Suddenly, all the hate was targeted at her.

Suddenly, the laptop in front of her snapped shut.

Evan stood there, his face full of concern as he looked at her.

"Mae, stop scrolling. It's only going to upset you more. These comments aren't worth your time."

Mavis rubbed her temples, the tension mounting as a headache settled in.

"The problem isn't just these comments."

She had to calculate the Nicholls Group's losses and figure out how to pay for that.

She might even have to sell her company to cover the cost.

However, what worried her the most was Nathaniel's reaction.

She had promised him, yet everything was going south.

She could not help but wonder if Nathaniel would go back on his word and disagree with the divorce.

If so, she would have to go through another round of hell just to get him to agree again.
