Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 2059

Asher had always spoken harshly and was unpleasant, so Adora had grown used to it.

She rolled her eyes at him and said, "Beanie, just ignore Asher. He doesn't always mean what he says. Even though he criticizes me, he still stayed around to be your protector."

Asher scoffed. "I'm not here to protect anyone. I'm here to watch the show. Even if Nathaniel were to beat him senseless, I'd just call the cops on him. That's all."

Callum's fear grew. If Asher was not going to back him up, he was sure to be in trouble when Nathaniel found him.

Adora glared at Asher. "Asher, stop scaring him. It's not right to bully a little kid."

Asher glanced out the window, the evening breeze ruffling his short hair.

He continued with his mean remarks, "Callum, instead of worrying about whether Nathaniel will find you, you should be more concerned about whether he even loves you."

Callum immediately poked his head out, defending his father.

"Daddy loves me!"

"Within the 15 minutes you and Adora went missing, your bodyguards would've already noticed it and informed Nathaniel. Yet, he still hasn't come looking for you. His work must be more important than you. Do you still think he loves you?"

Callum was frustrated, but he could not find the words to counter Asher.

He turned his gaze to the darkening sky and wondered why Nathaniel still had not come for him.

'Daddy must be… busy at work, right?' Callum thought to himself.

His heart sank a little as he looked at his swollen hands, which still throbbed when clenched into a fist.

Asher noticed Callum's gloomy expression and added, "If I were you, I'd seriously consider leaving him and not wanting such a father."

"Asher!" Adora glared at Asher, whispering angrily, "Beanie is still so young. Don't give him such awful ideas."

Asher crossed his arms. "And you think taking him away from home was a good idea?"

Adora was left speechless by his response.

Asher smirked and said, "I just enjoy seeing good kids cry. It's the most interesting thing."

Callum huffed. He was angry yet frustrated that he was helpless against Asher.

He actually did not like Asher at all because Nathaniel always compared him to Asher, thinking he was not as smart or reserved.

Asher seemed to excel in everything, which made Callum subconsciously resent him.

However, Callum also felt guilty for having such feelings, thinking that made him a bad child.

Then again, he could see that Asher did not like him either.

With a heavy sigh, Callum decided to ignore Asher.

He tugged at Adora's wrist and said, "Adora, I'm hungry. Does your secret hideout have any good food?"

They were actually at Mountville, Howard's old mansion.
