Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1970

"Stop!" Ella shouted.

The cow seemed to understand, turning its head to look at Ella.

"You've hurt someone! Get away!"

Miraculously, the cow's aggression subsided, and it retreated to a corner of the pen.

Nathaniel took the opportunity to adjust his collar and step out of the pen.

Troy followed him, looking completely defeated.

Ella asked concernedly, "Are you injured?"

Nathaniel shook his head, casting a glance at Troy.

"I'm fine, but he doesn't look too good."

Ella followed his gaze and noticed Troy's appearance.

Still recovering from his previous ordeal, Troy showed Ella his dirty hands and turned to reveal the mess on his backside.

This was one of the worst things that ever happened to him!

"It's all dung!" Troy screamed.

Ella struggled to contain her laughter.

The situation was too awful to find humor in, so she bit her lip and held back.

"It's alright. Cow dung is fairly clean. It may smell a bit when fresh, but you can wash it off easily."

Troy glanced at Nathaniel, "Mr. Nicholls, I'll head back first."

Nathaniel nodded.

Troy hurried off, practically sprinting to avoid further embarrassment in front of any other bodyguards from the Nicholls family.

Under the cover of darkness, he quickly disappeared from the pen.

Ella looked at Nathaniel again and asked, "Mr. Nicholls, are you sure you're alright?"

Nathaniel's expression was calm and collected, his short hair neatly in place.

"I'm fine. I still need to finish cleaning the calves. You should head back too."

Nathaniel focused on his task, giving a soft hum in response.

Ella left the cow pen and headed straight to Mavis's room.

"I can see it now. He's so stubborn. No matter what, he insists on helping with the work, saying he'll finish your share so you can rest properly."

Mavis listened, her eyelashes fluttering slightly.

She showed little emotion, quickly lowering her gaze.

However, she felt somewhat uncomfortable.

Before Nathaniel had coincidentally found his way to her, Sheena had told her about Nathaniel's recent condition.

Sheena mentioned that after Mavis left, Nathaniel had become gloomy, locking himself in his office and working excessively, which led him to be hospitalized several times.

Mavis could not help but feel a pang of sympathy.

It was impossible not to be moved, but she still felt a heavy, unspoken frustration—an emotion she found difficult to swallow.
