Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1966

Sheena inwardly cursed.

Once again, that infuriating man had his eyes on her waist.

At the ranch, even though Nathaniel was hurt by Mavis's rejection, he was far from defeated.

He secretly sent a bodyguard to investigate the estate's owner, with the main focus to verify the identity of this Emmett Mavis had mentioned.

He needed to determine if Mavis's claims were true before deciding on his next steps.

If it turned out that Mavis was indeed involved with this man, Nathaniel planned to use force and coercion to drive him away, never to come near Mavis again.

As for the child Mavis was carrying, the situation was complicated as she was quite long into her pregnancy.

Nathaniel considered consulting a doctor about the possibility of terminating the pregnancy without endangering Mavis's health.

Nathaniel slouched lazily on a bench in the garden, feeling melancholic.

He took a long drag from his cigarette, and his mind troubled as he felt a growing frustration.

It was like a storm was brewing inside him, waiting to burst forth with fury.

He tried to calm himself, repeatedly telling himself that it was fine.

It was okay.

It had to be okay.

During their supposed wedding ceremony, Sheena was pregnant with Elliot's children.

Even so, Nathaniel had agreed to let her have the babies and raise them as his own.

He could do the same for Mavis's child if necessary!

It was supposed to be fine…

But it was far from fine!

In a fit of rage, he threw away his cigarette, crushing it under his expensive shoe.

Nathaniel was so frustrated that his eyes were bloodshot.

He asked coldly, "What about her?"

"She's been helping Ms. Burton with farm work again. It's not heavy labor, but given her condition and how her pregnancy is progressing, you should see for yourself."

Nathaniel's eyes narrowed as he stood up. "Where is she? Bring me to her."

"Of course."

Before the investigation into Emmett's background was complete, Nathaniel decided to address the immediate issue: improving his relationship with Mavis.

He needed to bring her back home first.

Hence, he eagerly took over Mavis's chores, whether gardening, tending to the cows, or anything else.

Mavis, unable to refuse him, could only sit by and fume silently.

Nathaniel, who was surprisingly adept at the work, found himself exhausted after an entire afternoon.

He turned to Mavis, his expression softening. "You said these tasks were easy, but even I find them tiring. How can you, with your condition, bear this?"
