Elliot considered Lionel's point and decided to focus on a few top-rated schools for further investigation.
Lionel reviewed each school on the list and found that only three had the best reputations.
Since Elliot had already visited one, they were left with two remaining.
One of the remaining schools focused primarily on military training but also offered academic courses.
The other was less rigorous in its military approach but strongly emphasized academics, encouraging students to excel in both their studies and extracurricular activities.
After some deliberation, Elliot chose to investigate the second school.
When Elliot visited, he found that the school emphasized academic excellence but provided little practical military training.
The approach seemed to rely more on strict discipline rather than practical experience.
Elliot questioned whether such rigid rules might suppress a child's natural instincts.
The principal, Kelvin Roan, was aware of Elliot's high status and gave a detailed tour and presentation about the school's facilities and programs.
The vice principal, Carter Leva, trailed behind, eager to flatter Kelvin.
Carter introduced, "Mr. Roan has personally overseen all aspects of the school's development. He has experience in military education from Froania and was one of the subordinates for the National Investigation Bureau's deputy. He truly understands military-style education and how to effectively guide children."
Elliot raised an eyebrow at Lionel. "Deputy of the National Investigation Bureau?"
Was it Lionel or Romello?
Lionel was taken aback by the sudden reference.
Carter said, "Mr. Roan, you're too humble. Our guests must be thirsty after all this talk. Can I get you some water?"
However, he poured Kelvin a glass of water first.
Elliot declined, "No thanks. We're heading to the next school."
He shot a disapproving glance at Lionel, silently expressing his frustration.
Did Lionel not go through the schools before presenting the list?
It was such a waste of time with these oddball institutions.
He wondered if it was because he had been too easy on Lionel.
