"Don't worry, Dad. I'll make sure to balance my studies and work," Yvette assured him.
Their conversation finally allowed Sheena to relax.
It seemed they could now proceed with the contract preparations.
After they finished talking, Sheena extended her hand to Omari, smiling.
"Mr. Eipstein, here's to a successful and mutually beneficial partnership."
Omari nodded and shook her hand.
Unbeknownst to them, an informant observed this scene and quickly reported it back to Giorgio.
Upon hearing about Sheena and Omari's plans to join forces, Giorgio shoved the woman in his arms aside.
He yelled furiously, "How dare Omari team up with my enemy right under my nose! Seems like the last lesson I gave him wasn't enough! Gather the men! A war is about to begin!"
"Yes, Mr. Hollis!"
The woman noticed the bloodthirsty gleam in Giorgio's eyes and tried to soothe him by settling back into his lap.
"Mr. Hollis, you are the fiercest warrior in Gurenchti. No one can stand against you. I wish you the best of luck."
Her flattery managed to calm Giorgio's anger.
He scooped her up and carried her upstairs.
At 9 p.m., Yvette met Raymond at the pub.
Yvette wore a fiery red dress that clung to her curves, complementing her vibrant red hair.
As soon as Raymond escorted her into the pub, she turned heads, drawing many admiring glances.
Some patrons even whistled in her direction.
Raymond glanced at them, and his stern look quickly silenced them.
When they saw him taking Yvette's hand, the men immediately understood and refrained from any further inappropriate behavior.
Seeing her in this state, Raymond felt a pang of emotion.
However, he did not want to take advantage of her.
He gently helped her up, speaking softly.
"You've had too much to drink. I'll take you home. Otherwise, your dad will skin me alive."
Yvette protested at the mention of going home, clinging tightly to Raymond's neck.
"Ray, don't you like me? I love being with you. You make me feel wonderful, something no other guy can do."
In her drunken haze, Yvette's vision blurred, making Raymond appear as multiple shadows.
She reached out, attempting to touch his face, but failed.
"Raymond, why are there so many of you?"
