After understanding Omari's temperament, Mavis planned to visit his residence with Raymond.
She wanted to see if they could persuade him to reconsider.
At 10 a.m. Gurenchti time, Raymond drove Mavis to Omari's mansion.
The guards at the gate stopped them, but one recognized Raymond and politely addressed him.
"Mr. Jones, what brings you here?"
"Could you inform Mr. Eipstein that I'd like to speak with him?"
"Please wait a moment."
The guard left, and Mavis felt a wave of nervousness.
She feared the visit might be in vain and gripped the strap of her bag tightly.
Raymond patted her shoulder reassuringly.
Soon, the guard returned and opened the gate, allowing them inside.
Mavis was amazed by the mansion's decor.
She had not expected someone like Omari to have such a childlike aesthetic.
The entire place was decorated like a princess's castle, with charming and playful touches in every corner.
"You are well aware of Giorgio and his operations. After your interaction with Ms. Lawson last night, Giorgio likely has already been informed. Given his nature, do you think he'll just sit back and do nothing? Your daughter is your entire world, but can you ensure her safety around the clock? If Giorgio finds an opportunity, don't you think he might—"
"Enough!" Omari interrupted her, his face darkening with anger.
"I can protect her safety without your concern. I've said I won't cooperate with you, and that won't change. Leave now!"
Seeing Omari's reaction, Mavis worried she might have pushed too far.
If she truly angered Omari, future negotiations with Sheena would be jeopardized.
Raymond stepped in, "Why get angry at a young woman? Besides, she speaks the truth. We all know Giorgio is dangerous and a threat to your daughter. Just hear her out. If you still don't want to cooperate afterward, we promise never to bother you again."
