Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1669

The luxury car drove out of the Nicholls Group.

Mavis was in a good mood, and she could not help but hum a tune.

She kept it soft, not wanting to invite Nathaniel's teasing.

Occasionally, she glanced at him, studying his stern profile.

Noticing her gaze, Nathaniel turned to meet her eyes and teased, "What, are you stunned by your husband's good looks?"

Mavis's cheeks flushed instantly.

She huffed softly and muttered, "Who says that about themselves?"

Nathaniel shrugged, unfazed. "It's called being confident."

Mavis turned her head away, choosing not to continue the conversation.

Later that night, Mavis sat by the window and enjoyed the breeze after her shower.

She closed her eyes, savoring the pleasant feeling as the wind brushed past her.

When Nathaniel came out of the bathroom, he saw her leisurely dangling her legs by the window, looking very relaxed.

However, the night air was quite chilly, and he worried she might catch a cold.

He grabbed a small blanket and tossed it over her.

As usual, his words were far from gentle.

"If you catch a cold, I'll dock your pay."

"Achoo!" Mavis sneezed.

She glared at him and raised her fist in feigned anger.

"Even if you're the boss, you can't just dock an employee's pay like that."

They bantered a bit more before finally settling down to rest.

The next morning, Nathaniel sat at his desk, already hard at work.

He wore his usual black suit, but his tie was a fresh new color.

Tommy quickly shifted the topic, adding, "Mr. Nicholls, remember the company you wanted to acquire? I've secured the best deal for us. Please review it. If it's good to go, I'll proceed with the arrangements."

Nathaniel trusted Tommy's capabilities.

He skimmed through the proposal, finding no issues.

Then, he signed it with his unique metal pen.

"Alright, let me know if anything comes up."

Tommy turned to leave as usual but stopped when Nathaniel called him back.

"Wait, I have a question."

Surprised, Tommy turned around, already running through various company issues in his mind.

"Mr. Nicholls, I haven't noticed any emergencies at the company lately."

Nathaniel cleared his throat, saying, "Uh, no. I mean… How do I look today?"
