Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1641

Mavis felt unsure.

Nathaniel's footsteps faded, and she quickly hooked her arm around Gabrielle's.

"Alright, Gabrielle. Since I got off work early today, how about going shopping together?"

If she stayed at the Nicholls residence, Gabrielle would undoubtedly keep pressing for answers if she stayed at the Nicholls residence.

The mention of shopping instantly brightened Gabrielle's mood.

She grabbed Mavis and eagerly chattered about her favorite luxury brands as they headed out.

Gabrielle talked nonstop the entire way.

It was not until 9 p.m. that they returned to the Nicholls residence, with bodyguards carrying numerous shopping bags—all of them Gabrielle's.

Mavis could not help but marvel at how different the world of the wealthy was compared to hers.

After saying goodnight to Gabrielle, Mavis took a glass of warm milk upstairs.

When she did not find Nathaniel in the bedroom, she cautiously approached the study.

Mavis knocked on the door and asked, "Nate, are you in there?"

"Mm."

Hearing his response, Mavis entered with the milk.

The study was dimly lit, with only a desk lamp illuminating his workspace.

Under the shadows, Nathaniel seemed even more distant and unapproachable.

When she reached her workstation, she found a mountain of files labeled for delivery to various departments.

This type of task was usually given to new interns to help them get to know the different departments better.

It was clear they were trying to undermine her.

Determined to prove herself, Mavis sorted the files by floor, took a deep breath, and began delivering them throughout the Nicholls Group, ensuring all were distributed before the morning meeting.

After lunch, the logistics department had a meeting.

Aileen assigned the new quarter's tasks, selecting Mavis and Diana.

"Your capabilities are almost equal. As the company has assigned two major tasks to the logistics department, I need both of you to handle them simultaneously. I'll send you the details shortly. Any problems?"

Diana quickly replied, "No problem for me. I just hope Mavis can manage such a big task since she just became a full-time employee fairly recently."
