"Send a team to the lab immediately to protect Asher and Adora. I'm coming with you to find him."
Lionel dared not refuse her request.
Hence, he reluctantly agreed and started making arrangements.
In addition to the National Investigation Bureau agents, Lionel also messaged Nathaniel.
[Lionel: Nathaniel, we have a mission tonight. If you're awake, please head to the lab to watch over Asher and Adora. Thanks.]
Nathaniel had just finished his shower and was drying his hair in the steamy bathroom when he received Lionel's message.
He had not gone to bed yet.
After returning to normal work and life, he was still troubled by the murder of the Reynolds family.
Thus, he was investigating the suspicious circumstances surrounding it.
Seeing the message, Nathaniel immediately grabbed his coat and headed for the door.
Mavis heard the commotion and sat up in bed, asking drowsily, "Mr. Nicholls, are you going out?"
Nathaniel responded, "Yes, go back to sleep. Don't wait for me."
With that, he strode out the door and drove off into the rainy night.
Mavis watched him leave from the window, feeling a pang of concern.
Why would he be in such a rush to leave on a night like this?
It could not be a company matter.
Was it related to the Reynolds family case, or perhaps something to do with his old childhood friend?
The convoy of armored vehicles sped through the rainy night, making what felt like an hour-long journey an unbearable wait for Sheena.
When they finally arrived at the cemetery, Lance, worried about Elliot, had already taken control of Keaton's men.
Lance threw the tied-up men in front of Keaton, shouting, "Keaton, all your men are under my control. Surrender now!"
Seeing the bound men on the ground, Elliot furrowed his brow.
With eyes full of apology, Lance said, "I'm sorry, Mr. Jenkins. I couldn't stand by and watch you in danger. Even if you punish me later, I'll accept it."
Elliot remained silent, his face stern and cold.
Keaton laughed maniacally, yanking Elliot and pressing the gun to his temple.
With a wicked grin, he taunted, "Well, Elliot, it looks like your loyal dogs didn't listen to you. They found us pretty quickly. What if I shoot you right now? At least we'll be companions on the road to hell. What do you say?"
