Priscilla did not dare hide anything, nodding frantically.
"Yes. He wanted me to gain your trust and then find an opportunity to lure the children away."
Elliot's expression was grim, and his gaze was icy as he stayed silent.
Keaton truly despised him.
Unable to beat him directly, he targeted his family.
After training together for so many years, it was hard to believe Keaton had become so deranged.
He could not understand it.
Was it really worth it, to live a life on the run, all for a woman who had been dead for so many years and had such a nature?
He allowed himself a brief moment of distraction before refocusing. His dark eyes regained their sharpness as he looked at Priscilla.
"Is there anything else you need to confess? Think carefully. You don't have many chances left."
Priscilla racked her brain, terrified that Elliot might have Lance use more torturous methods on her.
"No, Mr. Jenkins, that's everything. I've told you all I know."
"Good. I'll keep my word and let you go."
Priscilla was stunned and exclaimed, "Mr. Jenkins, that's not what I meant! I know I'm guilty, and I accept my punishment. Please send me to prison. Lock me up!"
Elliot scoffed.
"You don't get to choose."
Priscilla cried in fear.
Enduring the unbearable pain all over her body, she crawled toward Elliot, trying to grab his pant leg to beg for mercy.
"Mr. Jenkins! Mr. Jenkins, please! I don't want to go out there. He'll kill me!"
Lance keenly stepped in to block her, preventing her from touching even a thread of Elliot's clothes.
In the past few days, Elliot had been so repulsed by her touch that he had discarded several pieces of clothing.
It was becoming wasteful.
Elliot did not even glance at her.
He stared at the watch on his wrist, his fingers gently tracing the strap.
Seeing his bad mood, Lance quickly reassured him, "Mr. Jenkins, since Mrs. Jenkins escaped without being kidnapped by Keaton's men, she should be unharmed and not in any danger. You can relax a bit."
Elliot remained silent, his eyes closed and brows slightly furrowed.
His mind continued to analyze the logic of the situation.
Elliot understood that Keaton was capable of anything, and he was meticulous in his planning.
Hence, leaving behind a fake hostage with so many flaws did not match Keaton's usual style.
Keaton should be aware the ruse would not last long if he intentionally left an impostor behind and let the false information reach Elliot.
Yet, Keaton still chose to do so.
What was Keaton's motive?
For some reason, Elliot had a bad feeling, sensing that Keaton was up to something sinister.
Whether it was the tainted formula incident involving Asher or Sheena's disappearance, Keaton's aim seemed to be Elliot, wanting to make him suffer.
He found it impossible to calm his heart without seeing the real Sheena standing before him.
