Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1536

Elliot called Lance over, and he was waiting anxiously at the elevator for Elliot.

"Any further instructions, Mr. Jenkins?"

Elliot's gaze was cold as he held back his emotions, staying silent.

He swiftly undid the buttons of his jacket and tossed it into the trash can as if even looking at it longer would dirty his eyes.

Elliot ordered, "Post a few of our best men outside Mrs. Jenkins's room. Make sure she doesn't leave and verify all medical staff IDs before they enter. No one else gets in."

Lance nodded.

"Yes, sir."

Elliot adjusted his shirt sleeves and stepped into the elevator.

"You drive. Take me to the lab."

Elliot's anger cast a dark, oppressive aura around him, and he feared he might floor the gas pedal out of sheer frustration if he drove.

"Sure, Mr. Jenkins."

Lance followed him into the elevator, pressing the button for the garage.

Though he felt Elliot's attitude toward Sheena was odd, given they had just found her, he kept his questions to himself and followed orders.

On their way to the lab, Elliot received a call from Lionel.

While answering, he checked the information on his tablet.

Lionel efficiently updated him on several major cases in Svelton.

Elliot listened, his fingers sliding over the tablet, his eyes revealing nothing of his thoughts.

They discussed work for ten minutes.

However, once they had covered everything, a strange silence fell.

Elliot casually asked, "Have you found Nathaniel?"

Lionel replied, "No, he hasn't returned to the Nicholls residence. He's probably busy pulling strings, trying to help find Sheena."

"Well, congratulations. Make sure you don't lose her again."

Elliot's frown deepened. "Where are you?"

Nathaniel ignored the question, continuing, "I overreacted when Sheena went missing. I apologize for that. I have some personal matters to handle, so I won't be bothering you and Nana for a while."

With that, he hung up.

Elliot felt increasingly uneasy.

He knew how much Nathaniel loved Sheena, which matched his own.

Yet Nathaniel showed no urgency upon hearing she was found.

He did not ask if Sheena was injured, drugged, or if she was safe.

Instead, he offered a few casual words of congratulations and ended the call.

Nathaniel was definitely acting strange.
