Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1484

Mavis lowered her gaze, pondering Sheena's attitude toward Nathaniel.

It seemed like Sheena had completely moved on from him, but as for Nathaniel…

While Mavis was lost in thought, Sheena asked, "Now that you're dating, how do you feel about him? Do you see a future together?"

"I really like him. He taught in Harbor City for a while, and I couldn't let go of my feelings from the moment I first saw him. I followed him to Froania, worked at the aquarium for five years, and finally got to be a part of his life."

Sheena was surprised. "I had no idea there was so much history between you two. You even left Harbor City and followed him for five years! That kind of determination is impressive. Even I might not have that kind of perseverance. I believe Nathaniel won't take you for granted."

Mavis's face paled as if reminded of something unpleasant.

Sheena noticed her unease and gently took her hand, giving it a reassuring pat.

"Nathaniel can be very obsessive and strong-willed. Once he sets his mind on something or someone, it's hard to change. However, he's also very virtuous and has a good eye on people's characters. Once he realizes his true feelings, he won't miss out on a good girl like you. You're in the early stages of your relationship now, and I think it's a great start."

Not every girl would have Mavis's courage and persistence to leave everything behind and pursue someone for five years.

Such devotion was rare and precious.

Sheena thought if Nathaniel missed out on Mavis, he might never find someone like her again.

Mavis lowered her head.

Even though she was smiling, her expression was tinged with a bittersweet sadness.

She grabbed Sheena's hand and smiled. "Sheena, I think we hit it off greatly. Can we exchange numbers? I'd love to stay in touch and maybe have lunch together sometime."

"Of course, I'd like that."

Sheena genuinely liked Mavis.

She was not only beautiful but also seemed to have a good heart.

In no time, the two exchanged numbers.

Elliot, ever gentle, fetched a towel and wiped Asher's damp hands, holding them to warm them up.

"We may not have enough time today, but there's plenty of time in the future. If you want to renovate the aquarium, it can't be done in just a day or two. Next time, Mommy, Adora, and I will come back with you to play."

Asher, always understanding, voiced his discontent with just a grunt and did not say anything further.

He glanced at Nathaniel, who was attentively wiping Adora's hands and coldly stated, "We'll let it slide for today, but I'm still going to renovate the aquarium. You better be ready to spend some money."

Nathaniel nodded. "No problem. As long as you have a plan, even if you want the stars in the sky, I'll find a way to get them for you."

Asher pouted and huffed.

"Don't make promises you can't keep. I'm not falling for that 'grabbing stars' nonsense. Don't try to deceive kids with impossible things."

Nathaniel chuckled in response. "Alright, your call."

His arrogance had no bounds, but Nathaniel never harbored any resentment or ill will.
