After some time, Nathaniel asked doubtfully, "You… aren't trying to pursue me, are you?"
The man scratched his head sheepishly, awkwardly chuckling, his ears turning red.
His expression clearly indicated that he was interested in Nathaniel.
Nathaniel was speechless.
How could he encounter such a fool while dressed as a woman?
His face darkened, no longer intentionally faking his high-pitched voice.
Instead, his threatening tone was deep and menacing as he uttered, "You're simply asking for trouble. Get out of here before I decide to give it to you!"
The man stumbled backward, intimidated by Nathaniel's voice and presence.
Had he misjudged the situation?
Was this not a woman?
"S-Sorry…" The man stammered before quickly fleeing in fear.
Finally, the safety corridor was quiet, and no one else disturbed Nathaniel's smoke break.
Sitting with his legs wide apart, Nathaniel had a disdainful look in his eyes as he idly twirled his cigarette.
He scoffed.
"Did he really think he could pursue me when I could tower over him standing up? He's just another pervert."
…
Adora spent the entire day in the lab with Asher as she did not have classes.
When Sheena finished work, she immediately came over to pick up both kids.
Since Nathaniel was done cleaning the lab's restrooms, nothing was holding his interest there.
Hence, he drove back to the Nicholls residence.
Due to Lionel's strict command, he did not change out of the maid outfit.
He lazily rubbed his sore neck as he entered the mansion.
The guard at the entrance did not recognize Nathaniel's face under the wig's bangs.
He approached Nathaniel and stopped him.
"Miss, this is the private residence of the Nicholls family. You can't just enter."
Nathaniel slowly looked up, his gaze icy as he scanned the guard.
The guard's heart skipped a beat, feeling like he recognized this face but simply could not place it.
Well, those legs were certainly toned.
Upon hearing Seymour address him as Mr. Nicholls, the guard was startled and quickly stepped aside to let them through.
After a long day, Nathaniel decided to let the guard off the hook and entered the mansion with Seymour trailing behind.
Casually, he asked, "How's everything at home today?"
"Everything's normal," Seymour replied.
Remembering his promise to Mavis to explain her status as his wife, Nathaniel continued, "How's Gabrielle's relationship with Mavis lately? Are they getting along?"
Seymour could not help stealing glances at Nathaniel's attire.
The sweet appearance clashed with his deep voice, which felt strange.
"Ms. Gabrielle quite likes her. She often takes Mavis to the rose garden to play on the swings. You know how much Ms. Gabrielle treasures the rose garden. She rarely lets anyone in, let alone touch anything. She really likes Mavis."
It was expected. Mavis was gentle in demeanor and appearance.
It made sense that Gabrielle would like her.
Nathaniel remained indifferent and continued, "When Marius finishes work, have him wait in the living room. Tell Gabrielle to come downstairs in an hour and also bring Mavis. I have an important announcement to make."
An important announcement?
