The situation on the small basketball court grew increasingly tense as they were finally engaging in a fierce battle.
Previously, they were just warming up, not fully into it yet.
The sound of punches landing made Adora so scared that she almost dropped the melon in her hands.
"Oh my! Uncle Nate and Uncle Lionel both have blood on them! It's so scary!"
Asher remained calm and chatted with her.
"That's Nathaniel's blood on Uncle Lionel. He definitely can't beat Uncle Lionel."
Seeing Adora's face turning pale, Asher quickly reached out to cover her eyes.
"Stop watching. Kids shouldn't watch such bloody fights. You might have nightmares tonight."
"Asher, you're a kid too. Why aren't you scared?"
Asher raised his chin proudly. "Because I'm the big brother. I'm brave."
Adora pouted, feeling dissatisfied.
"Well, I'm not scared either! Even though I feel uneasy watching, I'm excited to see who will win. I'm not going anywhere! I want to stay here and watch until the end!"
Sheena and Elliot arrived at the basketball court before the outcome of the bet was decided.
"Mommy! Daddy!" Adora ran over, calling out to them affectionately. "How did you know we were here?"
"We went to Asher's room and found no one there, so we asked Uncle Yosef and found out you guys were at the basketball court, so we came over."
"Oh… Mommy and Daddy, come watch the fight with us! There are snacks too!"
Elliot picked up Adora with one arm, his gaze fixed on the two men still fighting in the middle of the basketball court.
"What's going on with them? Why did they suddenly start fighting?"
"Uncle Nate and Uncle Lionel made a bet. The loser has to wear a dress, take pictures, go shopping, and clean the lab's washroom for a month. Asher also added one more term for Uncle Nate to be Uncle Lionel's assistant for a month."
Sheena and Elliot were both left speechless.
Both men were already in their thirties, yet why were they still so immature?
Sheena's gaze also fell on the two men fighting on the court, especially Nathaniel, who was covered in wounds.
"What?" Sheena was baffled.
While his expression remained grim, he quickly backed down under Sheena's gaze.
"It's indeed gotten a bit out of hand. I'll have them stop and determine the winner based on the severity of their injuries."
However, Asher stopped him.
"Dad, you can't interrupt the fight. This is between Nathaniel and Uncle Lionel. Since they signed the agreement, they should bear the consequences. You can't decide the winner."
Elliot fell silent.
Between men, having a couple of fights is normal.
Besides, with a bet in place, Nathaniel would consider it normal even if he suffered severe injuries, like a broken leg bone.
Yet, Sheena did not see it that way.
She crouched down and locked eyes with Asher, gently holding his thin shoulders.
Then, she asked softly, "You suggested signing the agreement, didn't you? Do you really want Nathaniel to die in this bet?"
