Half an hour later, Asher was done with his IV treatment.
Together with Nathaniel, they headed to the small basketball court behind the lab.
A professional lawyer was already there, and the power of money quickly had him drafting two waivers.
Fistfights were unpredictable, and regardless of life or death, if one party died, the other would not face any criminal responsibility.
With the lawyers accompanying them throughout, Nathaniel and Lionel each signed their names and pressed their thumbprints onto the documents.
Adora thoughtfully fetched two small stools, one for Asher and one for herself, and prepared two packs of milk candy, a box of strawberries, and a plate of sliced melons…
"Asher, help me! I can't carry all this."
Asher glanced at her.
He could not help but feel annoyed when he saw the pile of snacks on her stool almost reaching her small head.
"You're such a big eater. Can your little tummy handle all this food?"
Adora giggled and replied, "This isn't just for me, it's for you too! After Uncle Lionel and Uncle Nate finish their fight, they'll be thirsty and hungry as well."
It was a thoughtful arrangement. Everyone had a share.
"Girls are so annoying!" Asher grumbled.
Even though he complained, he affectionately took some food from her stool, lightening her load.
"Asher, you're the best. I knew you were tough on the outside but soft on the inside."
Asher scoffed, pretending to be aloof.
However, his eyebrows perked up slightly, obviously feeling a bit proud of his sister's praise.
Meanwhile, Nathaniel watched as the lawyer finalized the documents.
Once everything was done, he went over to help Adora with her stool, placing it against the fence at the edge of the court.
He squatted and gently rubbed Adora's soft cheek.
His voice was tinged with worry as he suggested, "There might be a little blood when Uncle Lionel and I fight later. It might make you uncomfortable. How about I ask Uncle Yosef to take you to the mall to watch a movie?"
Last time, when his hand bled from splitting the durian, Adora felt uncomfortable for quite a while.
The bloodshed from the fight might be even worse.
Before they began, Lionel smirked and asked, "Nathaniel, do you want to lose or win?"
Nathaniel glanced at Asher, who was eating melon by the fence.
"I want to win, naturally."
Lionel chuckled. "Well, that depends on your skills. I also want to win. After all, I don't want to wear women's clothes, let alone clean toilets. You used to be the head of the Special Investigation Department, but it's been years since you've trained. Your skills might not be as good as they used to be, right? In that case, I'll let you strike me with three moves first."
With his hands behind his back, Lionel smiled confidently, both provocative and self-assured.
Nathaniel shook his head, refusing, "If I'm going to win, I'll win fair and square. I don't need you to go easy on me."
"In that case, I won't hold back."
With that, Lionel launched his attack directly.
Nathaniel sidestepped, swiftly counterattacking.
They exchanged blows with precision and skill.
Adora watched intently, biting into her strawberry. "Wow! Watching two tall and handsome guys fighting is such a treat to the eye."
