Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1378

Cassie chuckled, saying, "She's having a blast in one of the private rooms with those VIPs. Bringing you directly in would ruin her fun with them, wouldn't it? Anyway, I just wanted you to see for yourself what a dirty and lowly woman she is. There's surveillance in the private rooms, so you can just watch the situation remotely."

Nathaniel remained silent, refusing to engage.

Taking the initiative, Cassie opened the door with a raised eyebrow. "I've already arranged with the bar's surveillance team in advance. After you?"

Nathaniel withdrew his icy gaze and walked into the room.

The real-time surveillance of the private room where Mavis was located had already been projected onto a high-definition computer screen for Nathaniel to observe.

On the screen, several men sat on the sofa in the private room while Mavis stood on a small stage opposite, presumably singing.

The footage continued for two minutes.

So far, everything seemed normal.

"Is this what you call dirty? She's just singing a few songs, earning money with her talent. What's dirty about that?"

Cassie inwardly rejoiced, sensing from Nathaniel's indifferent tone that he did not seem to care much about Mavis.

After all, no successful man would want his future partner to be in such places, singing songs and dancing to entertain other men.

If that was the case, Nathaniel might still proceed with their engagement.

Cassie looked at the screen and remarked disdainfully, "What's the rush? Women like her probably aren't satisfied with just singing and dancing. Who knows what else she might do."

Nathaniel's face turned grim, and his thoughts were unreadable.

As they spoke, Mavis finished singing a song and put down the microphone.

A middle-aged, perverted-looking man named Rocco approached her with a glass of red wine, trying to get close and even attempting to put his arm around her waist.

Mavis quickly noticed and moved aside, avoiding his advances.

Even though there was no sound, Nathaniel could tell the men in the private room were pressuring Mavis to drink.

After a few rounds of persuasion, Rocco attempted to make advances again, but Mavis rejected them.

Furious, Rocco immediately slapped her.

Nathaniel's eyes darkened further as he stared intently at the monitor.

Even though Mavis was tall, she was rather slender and could not possibly withstand the sudden slap, falling to the ground.

If she did not want to, she would not have come here to do such work…

Nathaniel did not understand her, nor did he care to.

He never said he was a hero, nor was he one to help the weak.

His expression turned cold, and he calmly continued watching the surveillance footage inside the private room.

In just a few minutes, the room was in a mess.

Despite her frail appearance, Mavis refused to submit to the several intoxicated men, fighting for her survival with all her might.

Through the screen, one could feel her trembling fear, yet she persisted in upholding her principles and boundaries.

Biting, smashing wine bottles to be used as weapons, punching and kicking…

Nathaniel frowned, unknowingly clenching his fists tighter.

When he saw Mavis forced into a corner and her white T-shirt stained with blood, he felt a strange surge of emotion rising within him.
