Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1350

Elliot increased the pressure of his fingertips against the door and knocked twice more.

Soon, a slightly hoarse and impatient voice came from inside the office.

"What's with all the knocking? Is that the only thing you can do? What's the use of just knocking? Can't you say what you want straight up? You have a mouth, don't you?"

Outside the door, Yosef looked embarrassed.

They had not even entered yet and were already getting an earful.

Clearing his throat, Yosef said, "I'm Yosef, and I have something urgent to discuss with you in person. Could you please open the door?"

There was a moment of silence inside before the sound of the door lock turning could be heard.

Finally, the office door opened, revealing Luis with a scowl on his face as he rubbed his sleepy eyes.

He was not in the best mood.

"Yosef, if you knock on my door without saying anything again, I'll make you mute. What's the use of your mouth anyway?"

Luis was an elder, so Yosef did not refute him.

He knew Luis had this kind of temper, and there was no point arguing with him.

However, Elliot asked, "You're working in one of Froania's top labs, yet you're sleeping during work hours?"

Luis squinted his eyes, giving Elliot a once-over before grumpily saying, "I opened the door for you, and you're here to criticize me? If you think I'm not doing my job during work hours, feel free to report me anonymously."

Elliot replied, "I didn't mean it that way. Like you, I was just making jabs."

Luis glanced at Elliot several times before commenting, "I know who you are. You look a lot like the kid with the S404 bio-virus agent in his body… You must be his…”

He paused for effect before continuing, “His grandfather, right?"

Yosef could not help but stifle a laugh.

He picked up a kettle from the messy coffee table and poured three cups of lukewarm water that had been sitting there for quite some time.

As he poured, he recalled his interactions with Asher.

"The first time I saw that kid, I was already fond of him. Asher was sitting quietly on the hospital bed, getting his IV, holding a pencil in one hand, and solving math problems seriously. It's incredible that such a young child has such astonishing mathematical abilities. So, I chatted with him for a bit. He said he was bored because his parents were too busy to be with him all the time, so I made it a point to visit his ward and bring him some math books he liked."

After pouring the water, Luis pushed the cups in Elliot and Yosef's direction.

He settled back into the sofa, casually flipping through the pages of "Abnormal Psychology" that Elliot had brought.

"This book is mine. I brought it to his room the other day while he was doing his homework. He took an interest in it at first sight, so I lent it to him. It's as simple as that," Luis explained.

Elliot furrowed his brow slightly and asked, "But have you considered whether he can understand a book like this at his age?"

Yosef chimed in, "Professor Luis, Asher is only five years old. Giving him a book like 'Abnormal Psychology' can only do harm, not good. Do you want him to develop one of those personalities described in the book?"
