Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 220

Helen assisted Chandler to his room and guided him to the bed. "You should rest," she said before turning to leave.

But Chandler stopped her and said, "I'm thirsty."

Without hesitation, Helen got him a glass of water. "Here you go."

Chandler took the glass, finding the temperature just right. "Thank you," he said.

Helen smiled. "No problem. Rest well, I'll be leaving now."

This time, Chandler didn't object to it. He watched her leave the room. His expression returned to normal only after the door closed. Holding the glass, he couldn't help but recall the moments he had with Helen.

She had stood by him through tough times, organized files in his office, and defended him publicly. These memories were etched in his mind.

He wondered when he had started to care so much about her every move and when her feelings became so important to him.

Chandler couldn't figure the answer out, but the images of Helen lingered in his mind.

As night fell, Chandler had a long dream. He dreamt of a festive scene with guests coming and going. In the dream, he moved through the crowd, driven by curiosity, until he reached the ceremony hall.

"Do you, Chandler, take this woman to be your wife, to love, respect, care for, and protect her, through good times and bad, in wealth and in poverty, in health and in sickness, till death do you part?" the officiant's voice rang out.

Having slept well, Helen opened the curtains to let in the sunshine. "What a beautiful day!"

She stretched and then noticed Chandler jogging. She wondered if the injuries on his legs had gotten better.

She was confused, but she shrugged it off. Then, she got ready and stepped out, only to bump into Chandler.

"Good morning!" she greeted cheerfully.

Normally, Chandler would respond politely, but today, he walked past her without a word and entered his room.
