Chapter 59 Are You Annalise Barton?
Julian turned sideways and reached out to gently pull Annalise.
Annalise was in a deep sleep. Julian nudged her and she let out a murmur. Then, she rolled over and found a more comfortable sleeping position. She continued to curl up into a ball and sleep.
Julian smiled affectionately and gently pulled her toward him.
Annalise moved and found another comfortable sleeping position to continue sleeping in.
Julian smiled. He lay flat and gently put one of his legs between hers.
Annalise was curled up, so when Julian stretched out his leg, it easily slipped between hers.
Julian reached out and took her hand again, then rested it on his waist as if she was hugging him. Looking at this posture, he smiled in satisfaction, and only then did he lay down to sleep.
He did not sleep much the entire night as he was just waiting to see Annalise’s reaction.
The sky finally brightened. Julian immediately closed his eyes and pretended to sleep.
Annalise yawned in a daze. She wanted to move her leg, but why did she feel as if something was pressing down on her legs?
She suddenly woke up.
The moment she opened her eyes, she saw Julian opening his eyes as well.
Their eyes met.
Annalise was speechless.
It was because she saw her hand on Julian’s waist.
Damn it!
She immediately retracted her hand.
Then she looked down at her legs.
She was at a loss.
This was really amazing. What kind of posture was this?
Did she actually fallasleep while holding Julian?
How did this happen?
Did she think Julian was a pillow while she was sleeping?
She did have the habit of hugging a blanket or doll to sleep, but… she wouldn’t sleep so soundly when there was another person in the room.
Last year, Uncle Kent’s family took her on a trip. Later, because the house was full, she and Abigail could only sleep in the same bed. She did not sleep well the entire night, but why did she sleep so soundly last night? She must have been too tired from brewing the medicine last night and did not have much energy left. Coupled with her trust in Julian, she slept soundly.
But this posture…
She immediately retracted her legs.
Julian smiled gently at her.
Annalise blushed in embarrassment and immediately apologized, “I’m sorry!”
Julian smiled. “It’s fine. We’re husband and wife. I don’t mind if you want to hug me. As for other things, as long as you want it, I’m willing as well…”
“I’m going to wash up!” Annalise immediately jumped off the bed.
His words really made her feel embarrassed. What did he mean by as long as she wanted it?
She did not think about things like that at all. She was sound asleep last night and did not know that she had subconsciously treated him as a pillow.
Tll squeeze your toothpaste out for you!”
Annalise had already jumped off the bed when Julian spoke.
Hearing this, Annalise almost stumbled and fell.
She immediately said, “No need. I can do it myself.”
“Thank you. I can do it myself.” Such small acts always warmed her heart.
“I like peeling shells for you,” Julian said.
Annalise blushed again.
Samuel looked at this scene and smiled kindly.
After breakfast, Julian and Annalise went to the antique market.
Originally, Annalise planned to give the elixir pills to Samuel directly, but Julian thought it was better if Annalise gave them to him as a birthday gift.
He knew Jadeborough the best.
Good news never went beyond the gate, while bad news spread far and wide.
No one knew how good Annalise was, but everyone knew that Annalise was from the countryside.
Some things were useless to explain.
He would give them a slap in the face by taking action.
This was human nature. The only way to shut people up was to make them look up to you.
Otherwise, it was impossible for you to be alone and peaceful unless you moved to a place where no one knew you.
The two of them searched for a long time and finally found a few small antique bottles that exuded an ancient aura. They were like teapots and relatively small, about the size of a fist. They opened the lid to look inside. It was just big enough to put a dozen of elixir pills.
“Just right!” Annalise was pleased.
“Yes.” Seeing Annalise’s expression, Julian smiled gently.
At noon, Julian invited Annalise to Jadeborough’s famous revolving restaurant for lunch. After that, they rode the speedboat for two hours.
Annalise was having a lot of fun. She felt that her feelings for Julian had changed a little. She kind of liked. staying with him.
In the evening, when they returned to the villa, there were many people in the living room. Annalise felt that the atmosphere was not right.
She looked up and was met with a pair of eyes that glinted with hatred.
The owner of these eyes was an old lady who looked to be in her sixties. The old lady sized up Annalise as she asked, “Are you Annalise Barton?”
