A banner decorated with colored lightbulbs was dropped from the helicopter. It read “Abigail, will you marry me?”

The colored lightbulbs were all heart-shaped. Together, they looked festive and sweet.

Immediately afterward, numerous drones came from all directions in the sky.

The drones changed into all kinds of colors – purple, red, blue, and pink..

In the end, they formed a heart shape, and then a confession: “Abigail, I love you. Please marry me.”

“Wow! Who is it?” People started talking about it.

“I didn’t hear that Abigail Barton has a boyfriend.”

“It’s not necessarily her boyfriend. She has so many admirers.”

“Why do I think it’s Benjamin Quigley?”

From the helicopter, a man in a suit walked down the stairs.

“He’s so handsome! He’s even more handsome than Benjamin Quigley!” someone exclaimed.

“Who is that?”

“I don’t know him. He’s probably not from Horington ”

“Then, where is he from?”

“Look, the Barton family’s car is here,” another person exclaimed.

Slowly, a Rolls-Royce pulled over and stopped in front of the hotel’s entrance.

Therefore, after much consideration, he decided to attend the charity gala to show off his love for Abigail and piss Annalise off.

Since there was no way to make up with Annalise, he did not care if his actions would embarrass her or not anymore.

He texted her the previous day, asking if she would attend the charity gala, and she replied that she would be there at seven o’clock.

Little did he know that he would witness an affluent playboy proposing to Abigail as soon as he arrived. “Ha! Which family is this playboy from? Doesn’t he know that Abigail is my woman? He’s just making a fool out of himself,” he thought.

He had completely forgotten about how he had made a fool of himself previously.

As he was thinking about it, he suddenly saw Abigail take the rose from Alexander’s hand with a smile on her face, and she answered sweetly, “I do!”

Her response caught Benjamin by surprise.

“What? What did I just see? This must be a hallucination!” he exclaimed mentally.

Instantaneously, he rubbed his eyes, only to see her take the flowers and wrap her arms around the neck of the man who had proposed to her.

“That’s impossible!” Benjamin pinched his thigh hard.

“Ouch! It hurts. Everything in front of me is true. Abigail really accepted another man’s proposal,” he mused.

“Tsk.” At that moment, Annalise was standing next to the hotel entrance with Julian and Madeline. Seeing that Abigail had accepted Alexander’s proposal, she gave a contemptuous snort.

“What a scene! The Barton family is not short of money, and Abigail has been well-pampered since she was a

child. Does she need to be so snobby? Seeing that Benjamin was the heir of the Quigley family, she snatched him away from me, regardless of the fact that he was my boyfriend. When she realized that Julian wasn’t an old man who required a wheelchair like the rumors claimed, she took advantage of the opportunity when we had a meal together to drug Julian’s wine, even when she knew that he and I had registered our marriage. At the side, Julian silently noted down Madeline’s request.

He probably did not have a chance to prepare a proposal ceremony, but he would definitely hold an extravagant wedding ceremony.
