Two Mates of The Late Blooming Luna? novel Chapter 2

“WAIT!” I screamed loudly while getting up from my bed while I raised my hand horizontally to stop the wolf. I had erratic heartbeat and was sweating heavily throughout my body.

“I didn’t even touch you yet” said Lily, my dear best friend, while raising her hands in defense.

“I wasn’t talking to you. I just had a dream about…” and I started talking about my fantasy dream again.

“About your handsome werewolf again?” asked Lily with a cheeky grin on her face.

She sat on my bed next to me with hearts in her doe eyes to discuss the dream, she has heard thousands of times.

To which I replied in a low tone,

“Yeah”

“So, the handsome guy you meet in your dreams is a dark brown colored werewolf, right?” asked Lily curiously as she remembered the details, of course.

She has to discuss it every single time! She is just mad for handsome wolves!

“Yes, the fact is that only you know that it’s not a dream!” I said with narrowed eyes.

My statement along with frustrated expressions made her smile widened.

“You are really something, Elena! You are the daughter of Alpha and your mother is a warrior and our clan’s Luna, let’s not forget to mention that. I mean both of your parents are werewolves of highest rank possible, still you somehow made people believe in your lie that you can’t change!” said Lily in an impressed tone.

“SSHhhh! Dumbo! No one should ever know that I have already changed” I hissed at her and tightened my grip around her hand to an extent that it started to hurt her.

She immediately removed my hands and took a deep breath.

“But why?” She asked again in annoyance without complaining about my recent lethal attack because she knows my desperation to hide it.

‘She had to ask it every single time. Why can’t this girl just stop her investigation already?’ I thought in frustration.

“I have my reasons” I said looking down and continued,

“and you should respect one’s privacy”

“Fine! But you should know that people will find out sooner or later. If it wasn’t me violently attacking everything in sight on my first change people would have already known about you. The coincidence helped but it’s not something you can hide forever. You have to accept yourself. You need to accept who you are, Elena” said Lily giving me a knowing look.

I hate the fact that my best friend knows me so damn well.

I looked away to avoid eye contact with her and my eyes fell on the clock, it was 5:30 am!

‘She just knows too much nonsense for her own good!’

“I don’t care about that stupid future Alpha! Nobody is as handsome as the werewolf I met” I said proudly. A smile curved on my rosy pink lips when I thought about my gentle and kind hero.

But someone could not just digest me being happy, so she had to interrupt.

“My a*s! He is more handsome than your fantasy boyfriend! I hope that I get to date him. I hope he is my mate. Please God! Please make him my mate! Please! Please! Pretty please!” said Lily closing her eyes and praying like the most religious person to ever walk on planet earth.

Nobody gets to disrespect my handsome prince!

“Get out of my room! Go and get trained to be his future wife, soon to be Mrs. Smith!” I said in a sarcastic tone but the foolish girl really took it seriously.

“On it” replied Lily happily while jumping out of my room.

Just this instance, she remembered something and turned towards me with a serious look on her face.

“By the way, we are merging in a week!” said Lily in a small voice.

“No! It can’t be! I won’t let this happen!”
