Too Late To Say I Love You novel Chapter 8

Gwen White was forced to stop. She asked plainly, “Do you have something to say?”

Jared Crawford was in a terrible mood after thinking about her the whole day. “Didn’t you see me here? Who let you ignore me?”

‘Am I supposed to say ‘good afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Crawford’?’

Gwen held in the feeling of disgust and asked again, “Do you have something to say?”

Jared ordered coldly, “Come and eat this bowl of bird’s nest.”

‘You look so awful like you’ll be easily blown away, don’t embarrass the Crawford family!’ He thought.

Gwen was stunned because the bird’s nest was obviously for Janice.

She pointed at herself in disbelief. “Are you asking me to eat Janice’s leftovers?”

Jared could never say kind words to Gwen, so he pulled a long face and responded, “Janice doesn’t like to eat it. I’m rewarding you with it because I think highly of you, so you better not be ungrateful!”

‘He actually said he thinks highly of me when he’s asking me to finish the remains of Janice’s food?

‘How exactly lowly am I to him?’

Gwen could not take it anymore. “Jared, don’t you remember? You were the one who chose to marry me, I wasn’t the one who shamelessly insisted on getting married to you. How can you humiliate me like that?”

Jared’s eyes turned cold right away. “I chose you? If it wasn’t because you told my dad you like me, would he have made me choose? Gwen White, the most shameless thing about you is that you’re a b*tch and you expect a monument to your chastity!”

Everyone knew Jared hated it the most when his marriage with Gwen was brought up.

Not only had she just brought up their marriage, but she also said that it was his choice, hence he instantly boiled with anger.

“Am I humiliating you by asking you to eat a bowl of bird’s nest? You’re taking yourself too seriously. If you really feel so wronged, go tell my dad that you want a divorce!”

Jared was actually startled by himself when he mentioned the word ‘divorce’.

Regardless of how out of hand their arguments were throughout the year, none of them had asked for a divorce.

Neither Gwen nor Jared did.

It was like a tacitly understood baseline that they both did not cross.

They finally knew the weight of the word when it was suddenly mentioned.

Janice stood up abruptly, and her eyes lit up — ‘A divorce?!

‘If they get a divorce, am I not going to be the rightful Mrs. Crawford?!’

On the other hand, Gwen shook a little, and her originally pale face looked more ghastly.

Chapter 8 A Divorce?! 1

“Although I don’t love Gwen, and our marriage isn’t out of my free will, I’ve already married her so I don’t have a reason to divorce her.”

‘What am I going to do if they don’t separate?’ Janice wondered.

She was anxious. “Why do you have no reason? Did you forget, Jared? She hired thugs…”

Jared interrupted her once more. “That’s already in the past, and she has received her lesson, so don’t talk about it anymore.

‘But marriage is what I want!’ Janice said to herself.

She bit her lips as she was not resigned to the outcome. Back then, Janice had spared no effort in approaching Jared through Gwen’s help, and she managed to win his heart.

Chapter 8 A Divorce?! 3

She did not want to be just his lover, who would be kept under the table forever!

Janice pretended to be gentle as she cuddled up to Jared, but she had already secretly devised countless wicked plans — ‘You don’t have a reason to divorce her?

‘Fine, I’ll give you a reason where divorce is necessary!’
