Too Late To Say I Love You novel Chapter 12

Gwen was unaware of the time even when she woke up.

She lay on the bed in a humiliating state, and an indescribable smell filled the air because her body was still covered in semen and blood. She almost thought she was a corpse.

When Gwen recalled everything that happened before she passed out, she closed her eyes powerlessly. Tears rolled down the corner of her eyes as she felt like her heart had just been cut by a knife.

Not knowing how long she had been lying in bed, the sky turned dark then bright again out the window.

When Gwen finally gathered her strength, she got off her bed and staggered into the bathroom to clean the traces left by Jared on her body.

As soon as she came out of the bathroom, Gwen saw an uninvited guest sitting on the small couch. It was Janice Sanders!

Janice smirked. “Gwen, I only haven’t seen you for a few days, why have you become like this? You look terrible.”

Gwen felt as calm as dead water when she saw her.

She did not even want to ask why Janice had come, hence she dragged her exhausted body back onto the bed.

Janice was not bothered about her indifference. “How are you feeling? It doesn’t feel good to be raped, does it? Don’t worry, you’ll be tortured the same way every night from now on. Jared said unless you become pregnant and give birth to a child, you won’t regain freedom.”

Gwen clenched her fists under her blanket, but she kept a straight face.

Janice added, “I actually did it on purpose. Your slap wasn’t hard enough to make me knock into the corner of the table; I threw myself to it. Do you know why I blamed you for my child’s life?”

‘She did it on purpose…

‘Forget it, it doesn’t matter anymore.’

Gwen closed her eyes to not look at anything.

“Do you not want to know? Let me tell you something you must be dying to know — who exactly slept with you on your wedding night?”

Gwen suddenly opened her eyes and glared at Janice.

Seeing as she finally responded, Janice curled her lips into a sinister smile. “If you want to know, I can tell you.”

……

Jared downed glass after glass of wine in the wine cellar.

He had finished a bottle of wine and was about to open another one.

Chapter 12 Did He Get The Wrong Person? 2

‘An island five years ago?

‘Could it be the time when I ate dirty seafood?

‘How could it be Gwen who bought me the medicine? Didn’t Janice risk her life to go ashore and bought them for me?’

Jared was stupefied.

When he finally awoke after that, he saw Janice waiting by his bed, thus he naturally thought she had saved him.

‘Did I… Get the wrong person?’

Jared suddenly panicked as though he was about to lose something. He let go of the butler and dashed out of the wine cellar.

When he arrived outside Gwen’s room, he heard a splash.

Having lost his nerve, he kicked the door and barged in without knocking on the door. “Gwen!”
