Chapter 219
The exhibition ended, Jessica was so visibly exhausted that she swayed slightly while descending the steps
“Jessli” Sana, tralling behind her, lunged forward to steady her, heart pounding
“I’m fine.” Jessica shook her head, pushing Sana away, Instinctively, she glanced back. The half was empty. She had just seen off the last guest.
Noticing her gaze, Sana hesitated before speaking. “Mr. Atkinson had left early with Jake because of something urgent. He told me to take care of you
“Mm.” Jessica’s tone was icy, almost annoyed at Sana’s unsolicited update. She hadn’t asked about them,
Undeterred by her indifference, Sana continued, “Aren’t you curious what happened?”
Jessica strode toward the parking lot. “Why would I care?”
Sana hurried after her. “Because it does involve you.” She had just learned about it,
Jessica gave a half–hearted reply as she walked. “Oh? How exactly does it molve me?”
Sana replied, “Someone leaked your divorce from Brian. It’s blowing up on Twitter right now.”
Jessica froze mid–step. “What?” Before Sana could elaborate, she yanked out her phone and opened Twitter. The top trending tag glared back at her:
[Atkinson Group’s CEO Back On The Market.
The comments were flooded with shocking reactions and waves of women volunteering to “console” Brian.
“How popular of him,” Jessica’s voice was unreadable.
Sana held her tongue, silently following her into the car. After studying Jessica’s expressionless profile for a long while, she ventured. “You okay? I don’t think Brian leaked this. He looked furious when he left.”
“Why wouldn’t I be? It doesn’t matter who did.” Jessica leaned back, eyes shut. “Log into my account and post some generic response.”
Her only concern was curbing public speculation to protect the company’s image. Otherwise, she wouldn’t bother at all.
Sana bit her lip. She thought, ‘Should I draft this? It feels too casual
But seeing Jessica’s exhaustion, she relented. She told herself inwardly, ‘Whatever. Just do as Jessi says. It’s not my problem if Brian’s offended later
Sana took out her phone, logged into Jessica’s account, and quickly sent a bland, formal tweet.
At Atkinson Group, Brian, who had just berated his PR director, heard his phone ping with a special alert. The notification showed Jessica’s newly updated tweet. His shoulders slumped.
He thought, ‘She knew it.”
Brian gripped his phone, his mood darkening, Aher a long silence, he sighed and resolved to respect Jessica’s decision. Just as he begutting a response, Weston’s call came through
“You damn brat! Everyone is saying you got divorced. What the hell happened?” Weston’s furious voice barked the moment the line connected.
“Yes. I’m divorced,” Brian replied flatly.
At Atkinson Manor, Weston, who had just taken his blood pressure medication, felt his rage spike anew. “Divorced? You dared to divorce her? Jessi is flawless! What were you thinking, you idiot!

Chapter 219
Brian stayed silent for a long moment before admitting. “She wasn’t the problem, I was.”
Weston didn’t hesitate. “Damn right, you weret Get your ass back home now and explain yourself.”
“Fine.” Brian hung up and drove to Alkinson Manor immediately.
At Atkinson Manor, the moment Brian stepped through the door, a cup came flying straight at his head.
Brian dodged slightly, but the cup still grazed his forehead before shattering on the floor behind him. He silently touched the stinging cut, his fingers coming away smeared with blood.
Weston, still fuming after chucking the cup, roared, “You bastard! No one in this family has ever gotten a divorce. You’re the first. Humph, what a brilliant legacy you’ve created!”
Brian remained wordless under the tirade.
Weston’s fury burned hotter. “Speak, your mute! Why did you divorce her?” He had always adored Jessica, which made this betrayal all the more infuriating.
“It’s my fault. I broke Jessi’s heart,” Brian answered heavily, facing Weston’s fury.
“Of course, it was your fault. But what the hell did you do to make her divorce you while pregnant and even give up Jake?” Weston had already gathered the basics before Brian’s return.
The fact that Jessica had fought so fiercely for the divorce, even taking it to court while carrying Brian’s child, was inconceivable to Weston. That was why he had hurled that cup the moment Brian walked in.
“Tell me the truth. Did you cheat?” Weston’s gaze turned sharp. It was the only explanation he could stomach. If true, then Brian
“No,” Brian responded firmly.
